Marcella Balconi
Marcella Balconi (8 February 1919 – 5 February 1999) was an Italian child psychiatrist, member of the resistance during World War II and a Parliamentary politician. She pioneered the practice of psychoanalytic infant observation in Italy. Biography Balconi enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pavia and was introduced to her future profession while working, during the holidays, with her father who was a physician in a medical clinic nearby. In 1943 she graduated from medical school and went to work with the clinician and pediatrician Pietro Fornara (1897– 1975), a pioneer in the field of child neuropsychiatry as well as a fervent anti-fascist and head of the resistance movement in Novara, Italy. Romagnano Sesia
Romagnano Sesia is a town and ''comune'' (municipality) of about 4,000 inhabitants in the Province of Novara in the Italian region Piedmont, located about northeast of Turin and about northwest of Novara. Luigi Mariotti (23 November 1912 in Florence – 27 December 2004 in Florence) was an Italian politician.
