Marcel Ponitka
Marcel Jakub Ponitka (born 28 August 1997) is a Polish professional basketball player who plays as both Point guard, PG and Shooting guard, SG, currently for Legia Warszawa (basketball), Legia Warszawa of the Polish Basketball League. In the Polish Basketball League Polish Basketball League, PLK, Ponitka is considered the best defender, having won the title for Best Polish defender of the season 2019/2020 the Best Young Player of Polish Basketball League, PLK (2017, 2018) winning the Polish Championship twice with Stelmet Zielona Gora, Zastal Zielona Góra in 2016 and 2020. Ponitka won the Polish Basketball Supercup in 2020, as well as the fourth place in FIBA Europe Cup, FIBA Europe Cup in 2021 as part of BC BC Parma, Parma. Guard (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. European Basketball Championship
EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation.
