Marcel Ghanem
Marcel Ghanem ( ar, مارسيل غانم) (born 1964) is a Lebanese journalist. He hosted the widely popular Lebanese political talk show "Kalam El-Nas" ( ar, كلام الناس) and now he is hosting another Lebanese political talk show "Sar el Waqt" ( ar, صار الوقت). Early years Ghanem was born in Yahchouch, Lebanon in 1964. He graduated from Lebanese University with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1987. He then practiced as an attorney between 1987 and 1994. Career Ghanem presented a political talk show on the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) and Radio Liban Libre from 1991 to 1993. The program was called ''Kalam Massoul'' (Talking Responsibly?) , co-hosted by journalist May Chidiac. From 1995 until 29 March 2018, Ghanem hosted the talk show '' Kalam El Nass'' (What people are saying) on LBC. He left LBC after receiving an offer from MTV. Yahchouch
Yahchouch ( ar, يحشوش) is a municipality in the Keserwan District of the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate in Lebanon. It is located 42 kilometers north of Beirut. Its average elevation is 670 meters above sea level and its total land area is 636 hectares. Yahchouch's inhabitants are predominantly Maronites, Maronite Catholics and Christians from other denominations. The municipality has eight Maronite churches (St. Semaan, Wardieh, Saydet Ghoshraya, St. John, St. Takla, St. Therese, St. Bechara and Saydet Shouan) and several other Christian churches. Its inhabitants are entirely Christianity in Lebanon, Christian. The Lebanese surname "Yahchouchi" derives from this village. Kalam El Nass
''ʿIlm al-Kalām'' ( ar, عِلْم الكَلام, literally "science of discourse"), usually foreshortened to ''Kalām'' and sometimes called "Islamic scholastic theology" or "speculative theology", is the philosophical study of Islamic doctrine (aqa'id''). Lebanese Maronite Christians ( ar, المسيحية المارونية في لبنان; syc, ܡܫܝܚܝ̈ܐ ܡܪ̈ܘܢܝܐ ܕܠܒܢܢ) are adherents of the Maronite Church in Lebanon, which is the largest Christian denomination in the country. 2017 Lebanon–Saudi Arabia Dispute
The 2017 Lebanon–Saudi Arabia dispute began when Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri abruptly announced his resignation while he was in Saudi Arabia on 4 November 2017. Shortly thereafter, the foreign relations between both countries and allied regional neighbors became increasingly strained. On 6 November, Saudi Arabia claimed Lebanon declared war between the two states, despite leaders of Lebanon stating otherwise. On 9 November, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates asked their citizens to leave Lebanon. The conflict is thought to be part of the larger Iran–Saudi Arabia proxy conflict. Lebanon's president and some Lebanese officials believe that Hariri's abrupt resignation was made under coercion by Saudis and have claimed that the Saudis had kept him hostage. Murr Television
Murr Television, marketed and known as MTV Lebanon, is a Lebanese television station based in Naccache, Metn District. History Founded in 1991 by Gabriel Murr, a Lebanese businessman and politician. MTV was shut down in 2002 as it was found guilty of violating article 68 of the electoral law of 1999 which bans propaganda during the election process but, since other Lebanese channels did not comply with the law either, some observers suspect that the closure was due to MTV’s criticism of the Lebanese government and of Syria. As well as lawsuit againt MTV In 2005, the Lebanese parliament decided to amend article 68 and reopen the station after the Syrian troops withdrew from Lebanon and the anti-Syrian opposition coalition won a majority in Lebanon’s parliament, but the station remained closed. May Chidiac
May Chidiac ( ar, مي شدياق) (born 20 June 1963) is a journalist and former Lebanese Minister of State for Administrative Development. Chidiac is a former television journalist at the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) and one of the station's television anchors until an assassination attempt on her life. She was one of the few critics of Syria's keeping troops stationed in Lebanon after the end of the Lebanese Civil War and charged that the Taif Accords stipulated that Syria withdraw from Lebanon. On the day she was attacked, after the Cedar Revolution and Syria's troop withdrawal from Lebanon earlier that year, she hosted a talk show in which she criticized what she called Syria's continuous meddling in Lebanon's affairs and voiced fears of further violence ahead of the UN report on the death of the former prime minister, Rafik Hariri.
