Marc Morris is a member of the Georgia House of Representatives and a member of the Republican Party representing GA House District 26. Military service Morris joined the U.S. Navy following his junior year of high school. After training at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in 1981, he was accepted into the Religious Program Specialist Rating. While in the Navy, Morris was recognized for his contributions to the modernization of IT capabilities for two Flag Officers. Naval Station Great Lakes (NAVSTA Great Lakes) is the home of the United States Navy's only recruit training, boot camp, located near North Chicago, Illinois, North Chicago, in Lake County, Illinois. Religious program specialist (RP) is a United States Navy rating. Religious program specialists assist naval chaplains in their duties as well as provide support to naval chaplains in developing programs to meet the needs of U.S. Navy sailors, U.S. Marines, and their families. They also act as armed bodyguards for the chaplains (who are largely unarmed). RPs perform functions that do not require ordination and do no pastoral counseling; adherence to a religion is not a requirement or prerequisite to become an RP and some RPs are even atheists. Geoffrey L. Duncan (born April 1, 1975) is an American businessman, politician, and former professional baseball player, serving as the 12th lieutenant governor of Georgia since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Duncan is a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives. After playing college baseball for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Duncan played professional baseball for six years until a shoulder injury forced him to retire. The lieutenant governor of Georgia is a constitutional officer of the State of Georgia, elected to a four-year term by popular vote. Unlike in some other U.S. states, the lieutenant governor is elected on a separate ticket from the Governor of Georgia. Constitutionally, the lieutenant governor's primary job is to serve as President of Georgia's Senate.
