Marc Miralles
Marc Miralles Portillo (born 14 November 1997) is a Spanish field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for Dutch Hoofdklasse club Bloemendaal and the Spain national team. Club career In the Spanish División de Honor, Miralles played for CD Terrassa until 2020. In June 2020 it was announced he would move to Real Club de Polo in Barcelona. After three years at Polo he left Spain to play for Bloemendaal in the Netherlands, where he signed a two-year contract. International career Under–21 In 2017, Miralles was a member of the Spanish under-21 team at the EuroHockey Junior Championship in Valencia. Spain finished in equal third place at the tournament, after sickness among the Spanish team forced the cancellation of the bronze medal match. Senior national team Miralles made his debut for Los Redsticks in 2018, during a test series against Wales in Terrassa. Hockey Club Bloemendaal (), commonly known as Bloemendaal, is a Dutch field hockey club based in Bloemendaal, North Holland. It was established on 26 April 1895, and is one of the oldest field hockey clubs in the Netherlands. Originally, the club also played bandy. In team sport, captain is a title given to a member of the team. The title is frequently honorary, but in some cases the captain may have significant responsibility for strategy and teamwork while the game is in progress on the field. In either case, it is a position that indicates honor and respect from one's teammates – recognition as a leader by one's peers. 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup
The 2023 Men's FIH Hockey World Cup will be the 15th edition of the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's national field hockey teams organized by the International Hockey Federation. It will be held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar and at the 20,000 seat Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela, India from 13 to 29 January 2023. Host selection The International Hockey Federation announced in December 2018 that the 2022 Hockey World Cups would be held either in July 2022 or January 2023. The FIH received the following final three bids for the Men's 2022 World Cup. In November 2019, India was confirmed to host the tournament in January 2023.
