Yezda Urfa was an American progressive rock band founded in the fall of 1973. The band recorded two albums before breaking up in the spring of 1981. The band's music is currently distributed by Syn-Phonic. The name The name Yezda Urfa comes from Yazd, Iran and Urfa, Turkey. The band came across these names while leafing through the dictionary, looking for a band name. Yazd was changed to Yezda to ease pronunciation. In the Russian language "yezda" (ездá) is a noun meaning a "ride" or "drive", however this is apparently incidental. The sound Described as a blend of Yes and Gentle Giant, Yezda Urfa was known for playing high-energy progressive rock. Marc Miller (born March 12, 1973) is a Canadian politician who was elected to represent the riding of Ville-Marie—Le Sud-Ouest—Île-des-Sœurs in the House of Commons in the 2015 election. A member of the Liberal Party of Canada, he is currently serving as Minister of Crown Indigenous Relations in the Federal Cabinet following the swearing in of a new cabinet on October 26, 2021. Prior to entering politics, Miller was a lawyer with Stikeman Elliott and an infantry commander in the Canadian Army Primary Reserve. Marc Alan Miller (born August 24, 1975, in Grand Rapids, MI) is an American professional race car driver. Miller has twice competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and most recently in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge in 2016 in the GS class. Career Miller began his career in karting, at the age of 11. He has raced in a variety of cars including karts, open-wheel, stock, and sportscars. Karting Winner, United States Rotax Championship in 2008. Stock cars Miller competed part-time in CASCAR and CASCAR West, the Canadian offshoot of NASCAR from 2003 to 2006.
