Marc Johnson (musician)
Marc Alan Johnson (born October 21, 1953, in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American jazz bass player, composer and band leader. Johnson was born in Nebraska and grew up in Texas. He is married to the Brazilian jazz pianist and singer Eliane Elias. Career At the age of 19, Johnson was working professionally with the Fort Worth Symphony, and while at the University of North Texas, he played in the One O'Clock Lab Band and was also the principal bassist in the NTSU Symphony. In 1978, Johnson joined pianist Bill Evans in what would be Evans's last trio. Johnson toured and recorded with Evans until the death of the pianist in 1980. In 2007 he released the tribute album ''Something For You''—a tribute to Evans—together with his wife, pianist Eliane Elias. Marc Johnson (rapper)
Marc Kwabena Johnson (born 1979), better known as Johnson, is a Danish rapper. Previously he was known as NiggerenISlæden (alias N.I.S.). Before his solo career, he was a member of the band B.A.N.G.E.R.S. and J.A.Z. and has collaborated with many Danish hip hop artists. Career Johnson was born in Svendborg to a Ghanaian father and a Danish mother. After his father's death, he moved to live with his mother and half sister, singer Zindy Laursen to Åbyhøj, Aarhus, where he grew up. In 1998, he was a founding member of the rap group B.A.N.G.E.R.S. alongside other founding members U$O, L.O.C. and DJ Rescue. Together they released an EP entitled ''V.I.P. EP'', and appeared in a small indie release with four tracks. The Vermeer Quartet was a string quartet founded in 1969 at the Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont and active until 2007. With performances in practically every major city in North and South America, Europe, the Far East, and Australia, the Vermeer Quartet achieved an international stature as one of the world's finest ensembles. Executioner (band)
Executioner was an American thrash metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, that was active from 1984 to 1990. History Executioner was formed in 1984. Their track "Victims of Evil" was issued on the compilation ''Speed Metal Hell'' in 1985. They were then signed to New Renaissance Records and recorded material throughout 1985, which was released as their debut album ''In the Name of Metal'' in 1986. After a show in San Antonio, Texas. Marc Anton Johnson (born June 20, 1948) is an American agricultural economist and academic administrator. He became the 16th president of the University of Nevada, Reno on April 16, 2011 after his predecessor Milton Glick died while in office. Early life and education Johnson was raised on a family farm near Wichita, Kansas. He earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from Emporia State University, Master of Technology in International Development from North Carolina State University, Master of Economics from Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University.
