Marc Flur
Marc C. Flur (born June 8, 1962) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Early life Flur was born in New York but grew up in Vermont. College tennis He played collegiate tennis for Duke University. A member of the Duke Hall of Fame, he is considered to be the greatest tennis player in the school's history. In 1983 he won both All-American selection and the ACC Player of the Year award. He was a winner of five ACC Championships, two of them in singles. Tour career The American took part in all four Grand Slam tournaments in 1985 and reached the second round in three of them. This included two wins over British player Jeremy Bates. The only other time he made it past the first round was in the 1987 US Open, where he defeated Christian Saceanu in five sets. Brad Pearce (tennis)
Brad Pearce (born March 21, 1966) is a former tennis player from the United States, who turned professional in 1986. He won four doubles titles during his career. The right-hander reached his highest singles Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP ranking on October 8, 1990, when he became the World No. 71. Pearce was inducted into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association#Hall of Fame, Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Hall of Fame. Michael E. Leach (born March 9, 1960) is a former collegiate and ATP Tour professional tennis player who won the NCAA singles championship in 1982 while attending the University of Michigan. Early years Leach grew up in Weston, Massachusetts outside Boston. He was the third child in a family of six and began playing tennis after he received a racket for his 11th birthday. He earned the No. 1 singles and doubles rankings in New England's 14-and-under division, and upon moving to the 16-18 division, he was ranked No. 11 nationally. Glenn Michibata (born 13 June 1962) is a former professional tennis player and former head coach of the Princeton University Tigers tennis team. Playing career Collegiate career Before turning pro, Michibata was an All-American player at Pepperdine University in the 1981, 1982 and 1983 seasons. Professional career – singles An ATP touring professional from 1983 to 1993, Michibata earned a career-high singles ranking of World No. 48 in April 1986. His best results were the semifinals at the 1985 outdoor Tokyo, 1989 Wellington, and 1989 Schenectady Grand Prix events. Grant Connell (Pronounced: KAHN-nell) (born November 17, 1965) is a former professional tennis player from Canada, and has been a real estate agent for the past 14 years in Vancouver. He specializes in West Vancouver North Vancouver and Downtown properties real estate transactions. He is considered one of the world's top doubles player from the early to late -1990s, reaching the world No. 1 doubles ranking in November 1993. Connell won 22 doubles titles during his eleven seasons on the ATP Tour (1986 to 1997). He won his first four with fellow Canadian Glenn Michibata. Joakim "Jocke" Nyström (born 20 February 1963) is a former top ten ranked tennis player from Sweden who won 13 singles titles during his professional career.
