Marathi Abhimaangeet
Marathi Abhimaangeet is a song written in Marathi by the noted poet Suresh Bhat and set to music by well known composer Kaushal Inamdar. Introduction The composition is probably one of its kind with over 450 artistes having lent their voice. The song was released under the name ''Marathi Abhimaangeet'' in Thane on 27 February 2010, on the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Diwas. The ''Marathi Abhimaangeet'' has been sung by 112 established singers and a chorus of 356 upcoming singers. It has been recorded across 3 studios in Mumbai, Chennai and Thane with 12 sound engineers and 65 musicians. It is a very melodious composition which aims to reconcile every Marathi-speaking individual to the beauty of the language. Suresh Bhat
Suresh Bhat ( mr, सुरेश भट; 15 April 1932 – 14 March 2003) was a Marathi poet from the state of Maharashtra, India. Life Suresh Bhat converted to Buddhism with the help of Bhante Surai Sasai. Because of Buddhism was the religion of Babasaheb Ambedkar, who was an ideal to him. Suresh Bhat died of cardiac arrest on 14 March 2003. He was 70. Works Bhat published his first collection of poems, ''Roopgandha'' in 1961. In 1974, he published his second collection, ''Ranga maazhaa wegalaa'' and in 1983 he self-published a collection named ''Elgaar''. Other collections of his poems include ''Zanjhaavaat'' and ''Saptaranga'' ''Roopgandha'' and ''Ranga maazhaa wegalaa'' were the recipients of the state literary awards sponsored by the Government of Maharashtra in their respective years of publication. Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande
Ashwini Bhide-Deshpande (born 7 October 1960) is a Hindustani classical music vocalist from Mumbai. She belongs to the Jaipur-Atrauli gharana tradition. Early life and education Born in Mumbai into a family with strong musical tradition, Ashwini started classical training under Narayanrao Datar, the elder brother of violinist D. K. Datar. She then completed her Sangeet Visharad from the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Since then, she has been learning music in the Jaipur-Atrauli style from her mother Manik Bhide, a disciple of Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar. Ashwini also received guidance from Ratnakar Pai until his death in 2009. Pandit Sanjeev Chimmalgi ( hi, संजीव चिम्मलगि) (born 29 July 1972) is an Indian music composer and Hindustani vocalist. He is a disciple of C. R. Vyas. His music reflects the voice culture of Kirana gharana as well as the bandish oriented singing of the Gwalior gharana/ Agra gharana. Background Chimmalgi was born in Mumbai to M.V. Chimmalgi, in a family hailing from Dharwad, Karnataka. His grandfather, Chimmalgi Master, was a noted tabla player. Career Chimmalgi is professionally trained as a computer engineer. Sadhana Sargam (née Ghanekar, born 7 March 1969) is an Indian singer known for her playback career in Indian cinema predominantly in Hindi, Bengali, Telugu and Tamil language films. Shridhar Phadke ( mr, श्रीधर फडके, born 9 September 1950) is a famous Marathi language music composer from Maharashtra, India. Early life Shridhar Phadke was born on 9 September 1950 in Mumbai. He is son of the famous Marathi singer and composer Sudhir Phadke and singer Lalitabai Phadke. He completed his education from D. G. Pandit Satyasheel Deshpande (born 9 January 1951) is a Hindustani classical musician who specialises in singing Khayal. He is a disciple of Pandit Kumar Gandharva and the son of musicologist Vamanrao Deshpande. Career Deshpande has been performing in music festivals and has also occasionally sung for Bollywood films. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages.
