Maoulida Darouèche
Maoulida Darouèche (born 7 February 1990) is a Comoran hurdler who specialises in the 400 metres hurdles and who has also competed in the javelin throw. Darouèche competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics. At both Olympics he competed in the 400 metres hurdles. He has also competed in two World Championships, an African athletics championships and a Jeux de la Francophonie. Competition Darouèche's debut at an international athletics competition was at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he competed in the 400 metres hurdles. He was drawn in heat four, a heat containing eventual bronze medalist Javier Culson. Darouèche ran a time of 53.49 seconds and finished last in his heat. The 14th IAAF World Championships in Athletics (Moscow 2013) () was an international athletics competition held in Moscow, Russia, from 10–18 August 2013. Initially, Russia won the most gold medals to top the table for the first time since 2001. It was also the first time ever the host nation took the top of the medal table. The men's 400 metres hurdles event at the 2016 Summer Olympics took place between 15–18 August at the Estádio Olímpico João Havelange, Olympic Stadium. There were 47 competitors from 33 nations. The event was won by Kerron Clement of the United States, the nation's 19th victory in the men's long hurdles. Clement was the ninth man to win multiple medals in the event. The men's 400 metres hurdles at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 22, 23 and 25 August. Summary While Kenya has dominated the longest hurdle race, the 3000 metres steeplechase since the 1968 Olympics, and John Akii-Bua from neighboring Uganda hinted at what might be the capability of East African athletes in this event, Kenya has never had a medalist at 400 hurdles, until this year. Nicholas Bett was the fastest qualifier in the heats. His teammate Boniface Tumuti was the second fastest in the semi-finals, while Bett struggled into the slowest qualifier into the finals. 2015 World Championships In Athletics
The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally.
