Manzil (1994 TV Series)
''Manzil'' is a 1994 Maldivian drama Television series directed by Mariyam Shauqee and Arifa Ibrahim. Produced by Shauqee, the series stars Abdulla Munaz, Aishath Shiranee, Mariyam Nisha and Arifa Ibrahim in pivotal roles. Premise An intelligent and honest orphan, Zahidha (Aishath Shiranee) moves out of her sister's house unable to tolerate their verbal abuse and settles as a maid at Arifa Ibrahim's house where she befriends her only daughter, Nazima (Mariyam Nisha). As days pass by, her commitment to work is noted by the house owner and the elder son, Nadheem (Abdulla Munaz) while she is bullied by the younger son, Waheed (Mohamed Aboobakuru). Arifa Ibrahim
Arifa Ibrahim (born 22 June 1955) is a Maldivian actress, producer, director and writer. Early life Daughter of late Ibrahim Fulhu and late Fathma Fulhu, Arifa Ibrahim was born on 22 June 1955. She got married at the age of fourteen and is blessed with five daughters and one son. During her early life, Arifa was famous for stencil designing. Career 1984–1999: Early releases In 1993, Arifa starred opposite Ahmed Nimal in his direction, a drama film, '' Sitee''. Based on true incidents occurred to a friend of Nimal, the film focuses on a fisherman who later turns to be a successful businessman and his search for his father. Aishath Shiranee
Aishath Shiranee (born 16 January 1975) is a Maldivian former film actress. Shiranee is the recipient of several awards, including one Gaumee Film Award and three Aafathis Awards. In 2001, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Career While working in a job at Maldives Customs Service, Shiranee made her screen debut with a video single titled "Hithaa Roohun Asaru Kuranee" alongside Ahmed Ghiyas which was followed by several other video songs before making her film debut with the film ''Naseebu'' (1992). Mariyam Nisha
Mariyam Nisha (born 19 May 1979) is a Maldivian former actress. Early life Nisha was born on 19 May 1979 in Dh. Rinbudhoo. She recalled her childhood days as a "disturbing chapter" of life where she had to refrain from enjoying with friends due to a skin problem. At the age of twelve, she got married and a year later, they were blessed with their first child. Suneetha Ali (born 28 May 1977) is a Maldivian choreographer, actress and producer. Early life Suneetha Ali was born on 28 May 1977 in Aa. Ukulhas. Her father, is a fisherman while her mother is a homemaker. Ali spent most of her childhood, in a melodramatic environment, dancing to the tunes of songs from Bollywood. After her failed marriage, Ali, at the age of fourteen, relocated to Male' where she got exposed to the stage shows and music performances. A few months later, she participated in a local talent show, ''Galaxy'' where she danced to few Bollywood songs and her performance was criticized by the audience to the point where she was "booed off the stage". Aishath Inaya
Aishath Inaya (15 May 1968) is a Maldivian singer. Early life and career Aishath Inaya is the mother of local performer and musician, Andhala Haleem. Inaya started her career in the music industry in 1987, by performing the song "Keerithi Lha Kujja" for the local band Zero Degree. Afterwards, she lent her voice for songs included in the album series of ''4 Hand'', followed by several stage shows. In 1995, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Inaya is mainly known for her soft, melodious and subtle songs.
