Warkop is a comedy group comprising Wahjoe Sardono (Dono), Kasino Hadiwibowo (Kasino), Indrodjojo Kusumonegoro (Indro), Nanu Moeljono, and Rudy Badil. Dono, Kasino, Nanu, and Rudy were students at the University of Indonesia, while Indro attended Pancasila University. They initially gained popularity with the radio show ''Obrolan Santai di Warung Kopi'', broadcast by Radio Prambors. In this show, Dono portrayed Slamet from Central Java, Kasino played various characters including Mas Bei (Javanese), Acing/Acong (Chinese), Sanwani (Betawi), and Buyung (Minang), and Indro took on roles like Mastowi (Tegal), Paijo (Purbalingga), and Ubai or Ansori. Nanu played Poltak from North Sumatra, and Rudi Badil portrayed Mr. James (Chinese) and Bang Cholil. The group transitioned to the silver screen with their debut in the 1980 film ''Mana Tahaaan...'' under the banner Warkop Prambors. Dono Warkop
Wahjoe Sardono (Indonesian Spelling System, EYD: Wahyu Sardono, 30 September 1951 – 30 December 2001), commonly called as Dono Warkop, was an Indonesian actor, comedian and lecturer who was a member of the Warkop DKI, Warkop group. Career Dono was born and raised in Delanggu, Klaten, Central Java. While attending SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta, he had to ride a bicycle for tens of kilometers round-trip from Klaten to Solo. While in high school, Dono's leadership talent was already seen with him being trusted to serve as chairman of student council (OSIS). Dono then studied at the University of Indonesia majoring in sociology. While studying, Dono was already actively working in several newspapers, including Tribune and Salemba, mainly as a caricaturist. Both print media stopped publishing in 1974. Dono then joined the Warung Kopi Prambors FM, Prambors group, which was founded a year earlier with Kasino (comedian), Kasino, Indro (comedian), Indro and Nanu Mulyono, Nanu. They fill the rad ...
