Manuel Vicent
Manuel Vicent (born 1936) is a Spanish writer. He was born in La Vilavella, Castellón and studied philosophy and law at the University of Valencia. A prolific author, he has written more than 40 books. He has won several literary prizes, including the Premio Nadal and the Premio Alfaguara, which he won twice. Castellón (officially in ca-valencia, Castelló) is a province in the northern part of the Valencian Community. It is bordered by the provinces of Valencia to the south, Teruel to the west, Tarragona to the north, and by the Mediterranean Sea to the east. The western side of the province is in the mountainous Sistema Ibérico area. Geography Castellón's capital is Castellón de la Plana (). Premio Nadal is a Spanish literary prize awarded annually by the publishing house Ediciones Destino, part of Planeta. It has been awarded every year on 6 January since 1944.
