Manuel Posada
Manuel Posada Tapias (2 August 1896 – 13 September 1983), better known as Manolo Posada, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Real Madrid and Celta de Vigo. He is best known for being part of the first-ever team fielded by Celta de Vigo in 1923. Club career Posada began his career as a footballer at Fortuna de Vigo, but his studies in Madrid allowed him to alternate between the Vigo team and Madrid FC (now Real Madrid). He found greater success with the latter, where he featured alongside the likes of Ricardo Álvarez, Alberto Machimbarrena, Feliciano Rey, José María Sansinenea and Santiago Bernabéu. Juan Legarreta Ugarte (1897 in Irún, Spain - 22 November 1978 in Santiago, Chile) is a former Spanish-Chilean footballer who played for Unión Española as a central defender. Club career He began his senior career at the age of 16 playing for Irún Sporting Club, making his debut against an unknown Belgian team and scoring three goals. The Estadio Municipal de Balaídos (), known as Abanca-Balaídos for sponsorship reasons, is an all-seater stadium located in Vigo, Spain. It is owned by the Vigo's city council, and is the home of La Liga club Celta Vigo. The stadium opened on 30 December 1928 and currently accommodates 18,267 spectators due to renovations. After the renovation, the stadium will be able to accommodate around 32,000 spectators. History Construction In September 1924, a group of local businessmen took the first steps towards the construction of the stadium by buying the 75,000 m2 on which the stadium would be built. The first job they faced was diverting the Lagares river. Ramón Polo
Ramón Polo Pardo (13 April 1901 – 19 June 1966) was a Spanish footballer who played as an outside forward, and was a former manager. Club career Born in Corcubión, Province of A Coruña, Polo played his entire professional career with Celta de Vigo also in his native Galicia, after Real Fortuna Football Club merged with Real Vigo Sporting Club in 1923. He competed with the club in Segunda División and Tercera División, scoring an all-time best 159 goals in 259 games all competitions comprised even though he was not a pure striker. Having studied in his youth to be a priest, Polo was known in Argentina as the black shadow of Américo Tesoriere, as he was the only European player capable of scoring against him. Balbino Clemente Núñez (6 September 1896 - 28 March 1941), better known as Balbino, was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder. He was part of the first-ever team fielded by Celta de Vigo in 1923. His brother Juanito was also a footballer. He was a member of the first-ever team fielded by Celta de Vigo in 1923. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Origin The term first appeared in 1858 in cricket, to describe H. H. Stephenson taking three wickets with three consecutive deliveries. Unión Sporting Club was a Spanish football team based in Vigo, in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1922, the club was dissolved in 1939. History Unión SC was founded in 1922, from a merge of ''Comercial Football Club'' and ''Victoria Sport Club''.
