Manuel Gonzales
Manuel Gonzales (March 3, 1913 – March 31, 1993) was a Spain, Spanish-American Disney comics artist. He worked on the Mickey Mouse (comic strip), ''Mickey Mouse'' comic strip from 1940 to 1981. Gonzales was born in Cabañas de Sayago, Province of Zamora, Zamora, Spain and died in Los Angeles. Biography Gonzales emigrated from Spain to the USA in 1918 via Ellis Island, and was employed at the List of assets owned by Disney#Studio Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios in September 1936, where he worked initially as an "in-betweener" on several short animated stories and on the motion picture ''Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937 film), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'', and also as an artist in the Publicity Department creating pencil art for publicity drawings and Good Housekeeping Disney children's pages. The Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars, are awards for artistic and technical merit for the American and international film industry. Walter Elias Disney (; December 5, 1901December 15, 1966) was an American animator, film producer and entrepreneur. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is a 19th-century German fairy tale that is today known widely across the Western world. The Brothers Grimm published it in 1812 in the first edition of their collection ''Grimms' Fairy Tales'' and numbered as Tale 53. The original German title was ''Sneewittchen'', a Low German form, but the first version gave the High German translation ''Schneeweißchen'', and the tale has become known in German by the mixed form ''Schneewittchen''. ''Disney Christmas Story'' is an American Disney comic strip that appeared each year in the weeks before Christmas, beginning in 1960. The strip ran Monday to Saturday for the three to four weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, and often promoted the latest Disney release or re-release. The strips were usually not published on the newspaper's comics page; they appeared at the bottom of the page somewhere else in the paper, so that the reader would have to hunt for it, and not-coincidentally pass by some of the Christmas advertising. The strip appeared every year until 1987. In 2017, the Christmas stories were collected in a hardback volume, ''Disney's Christmas Classics'', published by IDW Publishing. Scamp (comics)
Scamp is a canine Disney comics character, the son of Lady and Tramp, all of whom appear in the 1955 animated film ''Lady and the Tramp''. Scamp is featured in comic strips and comic books of his own since the 1950s. In the final scene of the film, the dogs have a litter of puppies, including three girl pups who look like Lady, and a mischievous, restless boy pup who resembles Tramp. The puppies are unnamed in the film and only appear in one scene, but the little boy puppy made an impression, and King Features Syndicate launched a comic strip a few months after the film's release. Scamp's comic strip ran for more than 30 years, from October 31, 1955 to June 25, 1988.
