Hector Manuel Garnica Venegas (born 12 October 1974) is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2009. He held the WBC Mundo Hispano, WBC Latino and WBA Fedecaribe light welterweight titles. Professionoal career Hector took out the veteran Isaias Cabrera to win the WBC Mundo Hispano light welterweight title. On August 25, 2006, he upset former WBA light welterweight Champion Carlos Maussa to win the WBC Latino and WBA Fedecaribe light welterweight titles. Orthodox Stance
In combat sports such as boxing, an orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having their weaker side closer to the opponent. Because it favors the stronger, dominant side (often the right side; see laterality), the orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing and MMA. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers. Professional boxing, or prizefighting, is regulated, sanctioned boxing. Professional boxing bouts are fought for a purse that is divided between the boxers as determined by contract. Charles Celindo Maussa Diaz (born September 24, 1971), best known as Carlos Maussa, is a Colombian former professional boxer who competed from 2000 to 2007, and held the WBA super light welterweight title in 2005. Mike Alvarado (born July 28, 1980) is an American professional boxer who held the World Boxing Organization, WBO light welterweight title in 2013. Early life Alvarado was born in Denver, Colorado.
