Manuel Benetti
Manuel Benetti (born 27 January 1981) is an Italian former professional footballer who plays as a defender for Italian Serie D club Sarego. Career Early career Benetti started his professional career at Vicenza Calcio. After he spent one season on loan at San Marino Calcio, he was signed by Monza in co-ownership deal. He played 50 games for Monza, but also suspended six times. Sassuolo Sassuolo signed Benetti and team-mates Marco Piccioni, Filippo Pensalfini from Monza in 2004, and Vicenza retained 50% registration rights of Benetti. Sassuolo also signed Fabrizio Anselmi, Nicolò Consolini, Sebastiano Girelli and Edevaldo Grimaldi, made the defensive line highly competitive. Anselmi, Consolini, Girelli, Grimaldi and Piccioni were the key player that the team promoted. In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. The Serie B (), currently named Serie Balkrishna Industries, BKT for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie A. It has been operating for over ninety years since the 1929–30 Serie B, 1929–30 season. Lega Pro Prima Divisione
Lega Pro Prima Divisione was the third highest football league in Italy. It consisted of 33 teams, divided geographically into two divisions of 16 and 17 teams for group A and B respectively. Until 2008 it was known as Serie C1. Before the 1978–79 season there were only three leagues of professional football in Italy, the third being Serie C. In 1978, it was decided to split Serie C into Serie C1 and Serie C2. Serie C2, the fourth highest professional league in the Italian system, was also renamed in 2008 and was called Lega Pro Seconda Divisione. 2011–12 Serie D
The 2011–12 Serie D was the sixty-fourth edition of the top level Italian non-professional Association football, football championship. It represented the fifth tier in the Italian football league system. It consisted of 168 teams divided into six 18-team divisions and three 20-team divisions. In the summer 2011 Montecchio Maggiore was readmitted in Serie D to the judgment of the High Court of Justice, that has transformed the score of Montebelluna-Este from 2–1 to 0–3, for infringement of the rule on under. Francesco Magnanelli (born 12 November 1984) is an Italian former professional football midfielder. He is currently the all-time record appearance holder for Sassuolo. 2007–08 Serie C1
The 2007–08 Serie C1 season was the thirtieth football league season of Italian Serie C1 since its establishment in 1978. It was divided into two phases: the regular season, played from September 2007 to May 2008, and the playoff phase from May to June 2008. The league was composed of 36 teams divided into two divisions of 18 teams each, whose teams were divided mainly according to geographical principles. Teams finishing first in the regular season, plus one team winning the playoff round from each division were promoted to Serie B; teams finishing last in the regular season, plus two relegation playoff losers from each division, were relegated to Serie C2.
