The Scots ( sco, Scots Fowk; gd, Albannaich) are an ethnic group and nation native to Scotland. David Manson, Sr. (September 6, 1753 – August 8, 1836) was an early patriot who fought in the American Revolutionary War on the side of the colonies in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Biography David Manson, Sr. was born September 6, 1753 in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland, the son of William Manson, Sr. He immigrated to America with his siblings, William Manson, Jr. and Eleanor Manson. Michael Manson
Michael Manson (April 29, 1857 – July 11, 1932) was a Scottish-born farmer and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Comox from 1909 to 1916 and Mackenzie from 1924 to 1933 in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia as a Conservative. He was born in Pickigarth, Shetland Islands, the son of John Manson and Margaret Bain. He came to British Columbia in 1874. In 1879, Manson married Jane Renwick. He was a director of the Call Creek Oyster Company. Manson also served as a justice of the peace. From 1887 to 1895, he operated a trading post on Cortes Island with his brother John. James Manson (born 2 November 1966) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the VFL/AFL for Collingwood and Fitzroy. From North Hobart Football Club in Tasmania, Manson provided some great assets to a fighting Collingwood Magpies. Manson stood at 194 cm and was solidly built (108 kg) with a great overhead mark. He however had a very awkward kicking style, with the action very different from most footballers, as he overlooked the ball with a cramped style as he dropped it on the boot.
