Mansion Pictures
Mansion Pictures was established by British husband and wife team Hannah Davis (filmmaker), Hannah Davis and David Conolly. They also produced drama for the BBC and made the critically acclaimed shorts, ''A Life In a Day'' (nominated for Best Short Film, British Short Film Festival) and ''The Other Side of the Mirror''. Their first feature film, which they co-wrote, produced and directed was ''Mothers & Daughters (2004 film), Mothers & Daughters''. For which they were nominated - The Golden Hitchcock Award for Direction. David Conolly
David Conolly is an English writer, director, comedian and actor whose production company, Mansion Pictures, produced two feature-length films, '' Mothers & Daughters''mothersanddaughtersmovie.com and '' The Understudy.'' Early life Conolly was born in Leeds. His father, Michael, worked as a chaplain in a psychiatric hospital. After also initially working in psychiatry, he was selected to join the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. This led to him making his West End debut at age 17. David went on to study performing arts at Leicester Polytechnic. It was here that he directed the Mobil Winning New Play, Woundings, and also won contributions to the National Student Drama Festival with Ode to St Cecilia. ''Mothers & Daughters'' is a 2004 independent film written and directed by British duo Hannah Davis and David Conolly. The American Film Market (AFM) is a film industry event held each year in early November. Historically, more than 7,000 people attend the eight-day annual event to network and to sell, finance and acquire films. Participants come from more than 70 countries and include acquisition and development executives, agents, attorneys, directors, distributors, festival directors, financiers, film commissioners, producers, writers, etc. Founded in 1981, the AFM is a marketplace for the film business, where unlike a film festival, production and distribution deals are the main focus of the participants. UK Film Council
The UK Film Council (UKFC) was a non-departmental public body set up in 2000 to develop and promote the film industry in the UK. It was constituted as a private company limited by guarantee, owned by the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, and governed by a board of 15 directors. It was funded from various sources including The National Lottery. John Woodward was the Chief Executive Officer of the UKFC.
