Manos Eleftheriou
Manos Eleftheriou ( el, Μάνος Ελευθερίου; 12 March 1938 – 22 July 2018), was a Greek poet, lyricist and prose writer. He had written poetry collections, short stories, a novella, two novels and more than 400 songs. At the same time he worked as a columnist, publishing editor, illustrator and radio producer. Biography He was born and raised in Ermoupolis of Syros. His father was a seaman. At the age of 14 he moved with his family from Syros to Athens and for the first seven years he lived in Chalandri. In 1960 they moved to Neo Psychiko. In 1955 he met Angelos Terzakis, who encouraged him to attend classes at the Drama School of the National Theater as a listener. In 1956 he was written in the theater department of the with professors Christos Vachliotis, Giorgos Theodosiadis and Grigoris Grigoriou. George Dalaras ( Γιώργος Νταλάρας, 29 September 1949) is a Greek musician and singer. He is one of the most prominent figures of Greek musical culture. In October 2006, he was selected as a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency. He was born in Piraeus. His first memories of music were the basic forms of Greek music, such as traditional, folk, rebetiko, laïka, which influenced him as an artist. Second Programme ( el, Δεύτερο Πρόγραμμα, ''Deftero Programma'') is the second public radio station of Greece's state broadcaster, ERT. The station consists of Greek music and culture broadcasts. History The Second Programme originated on May 11, 1952 as a result of an attempt at an alternative music and entertainment program, to the First Programme. It was originally broadcast at 666 kHz, later at 93.6 MHz FM, and still later carried on Kosmos 93.6. The station program focused at the outset on Greek music but also on theater performances. Giorgos Hatzinasios (also spelled Hadjinasios; el, Γιώργος Χατζηνάσιος, ; born 19 January 1942) is a Greek songwriter and composer. Early life Hatzinasios was born in Thessaloniki. His father was Agapios Hatzinasios, a native of Nigrita, Serres and a music professor of Thessaloniki's State Conservatory and a renowned saxophonist. His mother was Anna Zografou, a native of Galatista in Chalkidiki. His paternal grandfather, also Georgios Hatzinasios and a graduate from the Phanar Greek Orthodox College, was a merchant and visited the Holy Land at a young age with his father, Athanassios. Loukianos Kilaidonis (: 15 July 1943 – 7 February 2017) was a Greek composer, songwriter and singer. Biography Kilaidonis was born at Kypseli, Athens. He studied at the Lycée Léonin of Patissia. He then studied architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for 2 years and afterwards returned to Athens where he finished his studies at the National Technical University of Athens. He never did work in architecture because he started a career in music. His first work was the album ''Our city'' in 1970. Two years later he made the album ''Red Thread'' with Nikos Gatsos and the singers Manolis Mitsias and Dimitra Galani. Stamatis Kraounakis ( el, Σταμάτης Κραουνάκης) is a Greek music composer, music producer, lyricist, writer and director. He was born and lives in Athens and has studied Political Science in Panteion University. He has composed music for more than 40 albums and 50 theatre plays. Biography Kraounakis studied music with Klelia Terzakis and made his first appearance in 1978, writing the music for the album ''To Spiti Tou Agamemnona''.
