Manos Chatzidakis (basketball)
Emmanouil "Manos" Chatzidakis (alternate spelling: Manos, Manolis, Hatzidakis, Hadjidakis) ( el, Εμμανουήλ "Μάνος" Χατζηδάκης; born April 21, 2000) is a Greek professional basketball player for Aris of the Greek Basket League and the EuroCup. He is a 2.08 m (6 ft 10½ in) tall center. Youth career Chatzidakis played from a young age with the youth teams of the Greek clubs Kronos Agios Dimitrios, Ikaros Kallitheas, and Panionios Leros, before he started his pro career. Professional career On June 28, 2016, Chatzidakis moved to AEK Athens of the Greek League, where he signed a seven-year contract. On September 20, 2018, AEK loaned him to Maroussi of the Greek 2nd Division, in order for him to get more playing time. In his first game, he recorded 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists against Kavala. 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup
The 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 19th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men's national basketball teams. The tournament will be the second to feature 32 teams. For the first time in its history, the World Cup will be hosted by multiple nations, the Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia, from 25 August to 10 September 2023. It is the first World Cup to be hosted in Indonesia, and the second to be hosted in both the Philippines and Japan since they first hosted the tournament in 1978 and 2006, respectively. The article describes the European qualifiers for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. First round The 24 national teams that qualified for EuroBasket 2022 automatically qualified for this stage. Greek Men's National Basketball Team
The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings. Greece appeared eight times at the FIBA World Cup, their best performance coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final.
