Manooghi Hi
Manooghi Hi is a Seattle-based rock band formed in 2007 and featuring Indian pop singer, Mehnaz Hoosein. Their music is a blend of western rock-n-roll harmony and instrumentation with Indian melody and rhythms. The band sings in a variety of South Asian languages, including English, Sanskrit, Hindi, and Bengali. Manooghi Hi released their debut album ''Hi'' in 2009 and their second release "Silence" in 2011. They have performed at festivals including Seattle's Bumbershoot Arts Festival, Austin's SXSW music conference, the Sundance Film Festival in Park City Utah, Oregon Country Fair in Eugene Oregon, Salem Oregon's "World Music Festival" and Darrington, Washington's Summer Meltdown. Mehnaz Hoosein
Mehnaz Hoosein (born 30 January 1973) is an Indian pop singer and songwriter from Mumbai, India, popularly known for her hit song 'Banoongi Main Miss India'. She is a graduate from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. At the age of 13, Mehnaz started her vocal training in Hindustani classical music under the tutelage of Pandit Bhavdeep Jaipurwale. She began training as a dancer with Shiamak Davar from 1988 and performed with the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts till 1995. Mehnaz achieved success with her song Miss India which won her the 1996 Channel V Music Award for Best Female Pop Vocalist. At the time, Mehnaz was managed by Diana Hayden who was crowned Miss India the same year. Bumbershoot is an annual international music and arts festival held in Seattle, Washington. One of North America's largest such festivals, it takes place every Labor Day weekend (leading up to and including the first Monday of September) at the 74-acre (299,000 m2) Seattle Center, which was built for the 1962 World's Fair. SXSW

The Oregon Country Fair (OCF) is a nonprofit organization and an annual three-day art and music fair held outside the city limits of Veneta, Oregon, United States. Summer Meltdown is an annual camping and music festival in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It was originally based in Darrington, Washington, and relocated to Monroe, Washington, in 2022.
