Manolo (footballer, Born 1965)
Manuel Sánchez Delgado (born 17 January 1965), known as Manolo, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a striker. Over nine seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 292 matches and 96 goals, mainly with Atlético Madrid with whom he won two major titles. He also competed at that level with Murcia. Manolo represented Spain at the 1990 World Cup. Club career Born in Cáceres, Extremadura, Manolo grew up in the ranks of local CP Cacereño, making his senior debut with the club at the age of 17. After two years with CE Sabadell FC, the last in the Segunda División, he moved to Real Murcia in the same level, helping it promote to La Liga in the 1985–86 season then scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances the following campaign, with the team retaining their top-flight status. Cáceres, Spain
Cáceres ( , ) is a city of Spain located in the autonomous community of Extremadura. It is the capital and most populated municipality of the province of Cáceres. Pichichi Trophy
In Spanish football, the Trofeo Pichichi is awarded by the sports newspaper '' Marca'' to the top goalscorer of each La Liga season. Named after the Athletic Bilbao striker Rafael "Pichichi" Moreno, the trophy has been awarded annually since the 1952–53 season. All top scorers who preceded the award's creation were retroactively named Pichichi winners by ''Marca''. Since the 2014–15 season, the top scorer of the Liga Iberdrola is also awarded the Pichichi Trophy. The Pichichi is not officially recognised by the league's governing body, the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional. In association football, an assist is a contribution by a player which helps to score a goal. Statistics for assists made by players may be kept officially by the organisers of a competition, or unofficially by, for example, journalists or organisers of fantasy football competitions. Paulo Jorge dos Santos Futre (; born 28 February 1966) is a Portuguese former footballer who played mostly as a left winger. He is one of the greatest natural talents of the Portugal. The 1986–87 La Liga season, the 56th since its establishment, started on August 30, 1986, and finished on June 21, 1987. Real Madrid retained the title, but this time finished just a single point ahead of Barcelona compared to 11 points a year earlier.
