Manny Guzman Jr.
Manuel M. "Manny" Guzman Jr. (born c.1988) is an American politician who is a Democratic Party (United States), Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 127, 127th district (Reading, Berks County). Background Guzman graduated from Reading High School (Reading, Pennsylvania), Reading High School and studied Professional, Technical, Business, and Scientific Writing at Kutztown University. Political career Guzman was elected to the Reading School Board in 2013 to a four-year term. In 2017, Guzman won the Democratic primary for Reading City Council's District 1. However, Guzman lived in a different district and was removed from the ballot. Kutztown (Pennsylvania German: ''Kutzeschteddel'') is a borough in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located southwest of Allentown and northeast of Reading. As of the 2010 census, the borough had a population of 5,012. Kutztown University of Pennsylvania is located just outside the borough limits to the southwest. History George (Coots) Kutz purchased of land that became Kutztown on June 16, 1755, from Peter Wentz who owned much of what is now Maxatawny Township. Kutz first laid out his plans for the town in 1779. The first lots in the new town of Cootstown (later renamed Kutztown) were purchased in 1785 by Adam Dietrich and Henry Schweier. Thomas R. "Tom" Caltagirone (born October 30, 1942) is a former Democratic member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He represented the 127th District ( Reading, Berks County) and was the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and a member of the Gaming Oversight Committee.
