Mannie Jackson (born May 4, 1939) is the chairman and owner of the Harlem Globetrotters, for whom he played from 1962 to 1964. He was the first African American with controlling ownership in an entertainment organization and international sports team. Jackson has been heavily recognized throughout his career including an acknowledgment as one of the nation's 30 most powerful and influential black corporate executives, one of the nation's top 50 corporate strategists, and one of the 20 African-American high-net-worth entrepreneurs. Mannie Fresh
Byron Otto Thomas (born March 20, 1969), better known by his stage name Mannie Fresh, is an American music producer and rapper. He's best known for his productions on Cash Money Records releases, as well being half of the hip hop duo (alongside label co-founder Birdman) the Big Tymers. He produced all or most of the songs on 17 multi-platinum, platinum or gold albums for Cash Money from 1998 to 2004 before leaving the label. He also was their only in-house producer when the company started in 1991. Life and career Thomas was born and raised in the 7th Ward of New Orleans. Influenced by his father DJ Sabu, Thomas became a DJ for New Orleans hip hop crew New York Incorporated in 1984 at age 15. Mannie Garcia is an American freelance photojournalist currently based in Washington, D.C. His photos have been in many publications including ''TIME'', ''The Washington Post'' and ''USA Today''. History Garcia's photos of the Ramstein airshow disaster in West Germany won a World Press Photo Award in 1989. During the disaster, he narrowly escaped death when a flying chunk of one of the jet's wings nearly hit him in the head. One of his cameras was smashed by shrapnel, preventing it from hitting him instead. After shooting photos of the crashing jets and fleeing spectators, Garcia helped the wounded.Time Magazine, December 26, 1988, Pg. 43 Sixty-seven spectators and three pilots died in the disaster, and 346 spectators sustained serious injuries in the resulting explosion and fire. Ben Bhraggie ( gd, Beinn a' Bhragaidh) is a hill in Scotland which rises to an elevation of above sea level. The hill dominates the skyline above the village of Golspie and is visible from many parts of east Sutherland. The statue which is perched on top is that of George Leveson-Gower, Marquess of Stafford and first Duke of Sutherland who became notorious through the part he played in the Highland clearances. George Leveson-Gower Leveson-Gower was born in 1758, the son of the Marquess of Stafford. In 1785 he married Elizabeth, daughter of the Earl of Sutherland. She had inherited the Earldom and its associated estates following a well-known legal case which established the unusual principle that the Earldom could pass through the female as well as the male line. Mannie Heymans
Johannes Frederick “Mannie” Heymans (born 15 July 1971) is a Namibian cyclist. He was born in Krugersdorp, South Africa. Personal Heymans moved to Namibia in 1984 while the country was still occupied by his native South Africa. A rugby player until then, Heymans began cycling in 1987. International Heymans has represented Namibia numerous times, including at the 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2003 All-Africa Games. He also competed for his country at the 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006 Commonwealth Games. As for the Summer Olympics, Heymans has participated in the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympics. In the 2008 games, Heymans was the country's flag-bearer at the opening ceremonies.
