Manmohan Singh
Manmohan Singh (; born 26 September 1932) is an Indian politician, economist and statesman who served as the 13th prime minister of India from 2004 to 2014. He is also the third longest-serving prime minister after Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. A member of the Indian National Congress, Singh was the first Sikh prime minister of India. He was also the first prime minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to be re-elected after completing a full five-year term. Born in Gah, Pakistan, Gah, Punjab (region), West Punjab, in what is today Pakistan, Singh's family migrated to India during Partition of India, its partition in 1947. Dr Manmohan Singh Scholarships are available for any students for doctoral study at St John's College at the University of Cambridge and for undergraduate studies at the university. The Scholarships are named in honor of Manmohan Singh, a former Prime Minister of India and a renowned economist. Singh graduated from St John's College with a First in Economics in 1957, went on to earn a DPhil from the University of Oxford in 1962, and was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Cambridge in 2006. Manmohan Desai
Manmohan Desai (26 February 1937 – 1 March 1994) was an Indian film producer and director. He was one of the most successful filmmaker of the 70s and 80s. Desai is now considered one of most influential film director of Bollywood and a pioneer of making masala film. Family background Manmohan Desai was of Gujarati ancestry. His father, Kikubhai Desai, was an Indian film producer and owner of Paramount Studios (later Filmalaya) from 1931 to 1941. His productions, mainly stunt films, included ''Circus Queen'', ''Golden Gang'', and ''Sheikh Challi''. Manmohan Desai's elder brother, Subhash Desai, became a producer in the 1950s and gave Manmohan his first break in the Hindi film ''Chhalia'' (1960). Manmohan Waris
Manmohan Waris (born 3 August 1967) is an Indian Punjabi folk/pop singer. He is the elder brother of record producer Sangtar and singer Kamal Heer. Waris is considered one of the most gifted singers of Punjabi folk music. Career Manmohan Waris was born in Halluwal, Punjab, India, the eldest son of Dilbag Singh. He started training in music aged 11, passing on what he learnt to his younger brothers. He moved to Canada in 1990, with Waris releasing his first album ''Gairan Naal Peenghan Jhootdeye'' in 1993. Manmohan Mahapatra (ମନମୋହନ ମହାପାତ୍ର, 10 November 1951 – 13 January 2020) was an Odia filmmaker, director, producer, and writer. He won eight consecutive national film awards for his films ''Nishita Swapna'', ''Majhi Pahacha'', ''Tired Afternoon'', '' Neeraba Jhada'', ''Seeta Raati'', and ''Bhinna Samaya'', among others. His first film ''Seeta Raati'' made in 1976 was the first Odia film to be screened at international film festival in 1982. On 13 January 2020, Mahapatra died in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar at age 68 after battling prolonged kidney and heart ailments . Manmohan Ghose (19 January 1869 – 4 January 1924) was an Indian poet and one of the first from India to write poetry in English. He was a brother of Sri Aurobindo. ''Manmohan'' is a 1936 Indian Urdu/ Hindi-language romantic tragedy film directed by Mehboob Khan. This was Khan's third film for Sagar Movietone after '' Al Hilal'' (1935) and '' Deccan Queen'' (1936). The cinematographer was Faredoon Irani who, starting from Mehboob Khan's ''Al Hilal'' (Judjement of Allah) (1935) went on to establish a long working relationship with him lasting till Khan's last film Son of India (1962). The music was composed by Ashok Ghosh assisted by Anil Biswas. The story writer was Zia Sarhadi who also wrote the lyrics, screenplay and dialogue in addition to acting in the film. Manmohan Krishna (26 February 1922 – 3 November 1990) was a popular Indian film actor and director, who worked in Hindi films for four decades, mostly as a character actor. He started his career as a professor in Physics and held master's degree in physics. He anchored the radio show ''Cadbury's Phulwari'', a singing contest.
