Bill Manlove
William B. Manlove Jr. (born February 5, 1933) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Widener University from 1969 to 1991, at Delaware Valley College from 1992 to 1995, and at La Salle University from 1997 to 2001, compiling a career college football coaching record of 212–111–1. Manlove led Widener to two NCAA Division III Football Championships, in 1977 and 1981. He served as president of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) in 1991. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2011. Early life Manlove was born in Barrington, New Jersey, and graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1951. Dudley Devere Manlove (June 11, 1914 – April 17, 1996) was an American radio announcer and an actor. His credits include the San Francisco–based radio detective show '' Candy Matson, YUkon 2-8209''. Early years In 1921, Manlove was one of a group of juvenile performers sponsored by the '' Oakland Tribune''. Also in 1921, at age 6, he received a contract from the Stewart Motion Picture Company. At that time, he already had more than a year's experience on stage. Eugene Manlove Rhodes
Eugene Manlove Rhodes (January 19, 1869 – June 27, 1934) was an American writer, nicknamed the "cowboy chronicler". He lived in south central New Mexico when the first cattle ranching and cowboys arrived in the area; when he moved to New York with his wife in 1899, he wrote stories of the American West that set the image of cowboy life in that era. He moved back to New Mexico in 1926 and continued to write novels. In 1958, he was inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Biography Rhodes was born in Tecumseh, Nebraska, to Hinman Rhodes and Julia Manlove who were wed March 5, 1868 at Rushville in Schuyler County, Illinois.
