Manlio Bacigalupo
Manlio Bacigalupo (5 September 1908 – 1 December 1977) was an Italian association football goalkeeper and manager from Vado Ligure, Savona. Playing career Over the course of his career, Bacigalupo played for five Italian sides, spending the most of his time with Genoa and Venezia, also playing for Torino. Personal life Manilo's brother, Valerio Bacigalupo, was also a footballer, and the goalkeeper of the ''Grande Torino'' side that died in the ''Superga air disaster''. Vado Ligure
Vado Ligure ( lij, Voæ), in antiquity Vada Sabatia, is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Savona, Liguria, in northern Italy. Economy Vado has a large industrial and commercial port. Vado Ligure is home to a railway construction plant, founded in 1905 as Società Italiana Westinghouse. In 1919 it was taken over by Tecnomasio Italia Brown Boveri and, since 2001, it has been part of Bombardier Transportation. It currently produces the FS Class E.464 locomotives. The town's territory also includes an electric power plant, whose two towers, high, are visible for kilometers in the neighbourhood. 1934–35 Serie B
The Serie B 1934–35 was the sixth tournament of this competition played in Italy since its creation. This championship was organized with two groups. Teams Aquila Calcio, Pisa Calcio, Lucchese and Catania Calcio had been promoted from Prima Divisione, while Padova Calcio, Genoa CFC and Casale Calcio had been relegated from Serie A. Cagliari Calcio, Derthona, Vicenza Calcio and Venezia FC had been re-elected by the Higher Directory to expand the league. Events Eight teams for each group were relegated in order to restore the single table. Two teams (one for each group) retired during the tournament. In the Western group, A.C. Pavia retired after 20 days and only the matches played in the first half of the season (the ''andata'') were considered valid. 1936–37 Coppa Italia
The 1936–37 Coppa Italia was the 2nd edition of the tournament under the organization of the Higher Directory. All teams from Serie A, Serie B and Serie C took part to this competition, which included a first phase, with elimination rounds reserved to B and C teams, and a final phase, where the 16 winners of the first phase met 16 Serie A teams. All the matches were played in a single leg with eventual replay on the model of the FA Cup, homefields were decided by drawing except for the final match in Florence. The trophy was won by Genova 1893, which defeated 1–0 Roma in the final match, played at the Giovanni Berta Stadium in Florence on June 6, 1937. Winning the cup, Genova 1893 also gained the qualification to the 1937 edition of the Mitropa Cup. Coppa Italia
The ("Italy Cup") is an annual knockout cup competition in Italian football organized by the FIGC until the 2009–10 season and the Lega Serie A ever since. History The beginning of the tournament was turbulent, due to the complexity of the participation of the teams in the tournament, since its inception in 1921, the Italian championship was divided into two groups. On the one hand the CCI Championship (Italian Football Confederation) and on the other the FIGC championship ( Italian Football Federation). These two championships were not organized between them, so they could not manage the dates that allowed the normal course of the tournament. The tournament's first edition held in 1922 was won by F.C. Vado. The second edition, scheduled in the 1926–27 season, was cancelled during the round of 32.
