Mankessim Murder
The murder of Georgina Asor Botchwey, an aspiring trainee nurse, is alleged to have been carried out by the Tufuhene (Chief) of Ekumfi Akwakrom Christopher Ekow Clark Quansah (known as Nana Clark Onyaa) and a pastor Michael Darko Amponsah (known as Nana 1). The crime was committed at Mankessim in the Central Region (Ghana), Central Region of Ghana. The killing came after the victim was allegedly kidnapped by the pastor after she went for an interview at the Ankaful Nursing Training College. Background Georgina Asor Botchwey was a 22-year old prospective nurse who traveled from Yeji in the Bono East Region to the Ankaful Nurses Training College, Ankaful Psychiatric Nursing Training School to attend an interview for admission. Mankessim
Mankessim is a town in the Central Region of Ghana, West Africa. It is approximately 75 km west of Accra, on the main road to Sekondi-Takoradi. It is the traditional headquarters of the Fante ethnic group of Ghana. Mankessim's history is linked to three famed warriors (Obrumankoma, Odapagyan and Oson) who helped the people migrate from Techiman in the current Brong Ahafo Region to Adoagyir in the Central region. The town is located at an elevation of 75 meters above sea level and its population amounts to 26,909. Yeji

Bono East Region
The Bono East region of Ghana is a new region carved out of the Brong Ahafo region. The capital of the new region is Techiman. This creation of this new region was in fulfillment of a promise made by the New Patriotic Party prior to the 2016 Ghana general election. Upon winning the elections, the President, Nana Akuffo Addo created the Ministry of Regional Reorganization to oversee policy formulation and implementation. Ankaful Nurses Training College
The Ankaful Nurses Training College is public tertiary health institution in the Ankaful in the Central Region of Ghana. The college is in the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly. Ekumfi District

Ophelia Mensah Hayford is a Ghanaian Politician. She contested in the 2020 Ghanaian General Election and won the parliamentary seat for the Mfantsiman Constituency.
