Manitoba Provincial Highway 68 (PTH 68) is an east-west provincial highway in the central region of Manitoba, Canada. PTH 68 starts at PTH 5 east of Ste. Rose Du Lac and terminates at PTH 8 south of Riverton. Between the eastern junction with PTH 6 at Eriksdale and its western terminus, the highway is part of the Northern Woods and Water Route. Manitoba Transportation and Infrastructure () is the provincial government department responsible for managing infrastructure in Manitoba. It is in charge of "the development of transportation policy and legislation, and fthe management of the province’s vast infrastructure network." Manitoba Infrastructure was initially known as Public Works, which changed to Government Services in 1968, when the province expanded the department to include the provision of common services for other governmental departments. Manitoba Highway 5
Provincial Trunk Highway 5 (PTH 5) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The highway starts at the Hansboro–Cartwright Border Crossing on the Canada–United States border and ends at the Saskatchewan boundary west of Roblin. Besides Roblin, it passes through the communities of Cartwright, Glenboro, Carberry, Neepawa, McCreary, Ste. Rose Du Lac, Grandview, and Gilbert Plains along its route. The highway, in a section concurrent with PTH 10, bypasses the City of Dauphin. (PTH 5A / 10A does run through Dauphin.) The segment of PTH 5 between PTH 10 and Ste. Rose Du Lac is part of the Northern Woods and Water Route. Further south, PTH 5 is also the main route through Spruce Woods Provincial Park between Glenboro and Carberry. Dog Creek Indian Reserve
The Stswecem'c Xgat'tem First Nation, formerly known as Canoe Creek Band/Dog Creek Indian Band, created as a result of merger of the Canoe Creek Band and Dog Creek Band is a First Nations government of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) Nation, located in the Fraser Canyon-Cariboo region of the Central Interior of the Canadian province of British Columbia. It was created when the government of the then-Colony of British Columbia established an Indian reserve system in the 1860s. It is a member government of the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council. The Interlake Region is an informal geographic region of the Canadian province of Manitoba that lies roughly between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The region comprises 14 rural municipalities, one city (the City of Selkirk), five towns ( Arborg Riverton, Stonewall, Teulon and Winnipeg Beach) and one village, Dunnottar. The Narrows, Manitoba
The Narrows is a community in the Canadian province of Manitoba. Situated on the Northern part of Lake Manitoba within the Municipality of West Interlake. It is notable as the only place where Lake Manitoba is traversed by use of a bridge. A Post Office was opened at a location on 14-24-10W in 1896. The post office service was terminated in 1958. A school district was located on SE 24-24-10W. There are two Lake St. Martin First Nation reserves (The Narrows 49 and Narrows 49 A) located in the surrounding areas. Manitoba Highway 6
Provincial Trunk Highway 6 (PTH 6) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It runs from the Perimeter Highway of Winnipeg to the Thompson south city limits. It is also the main highway connecting Winnipeg to northern Manitoba. The speed limit is 100 km/h. The route is also used to deliver nickel from the Thompson mine to the Royal Canadian Mint in Winnipeg. The portion of the highway between Ponton and Thompson was known as Highway 391 prior to 1986. There have been talks of extending PTH 6 further north from Thompson to Churchill and the Nunavut border. Provincial Trunk Highway 8 (PTH 8) is a provincial primary highway located in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It runs from the north limit of the City of Winnipeg, where it meets with Route 180 (McPhillips Street), north to Hecla-Grindstone Provincial Park. The highway between Winnipeg and PR 230 is known as McPhillips Street. At PR 230, McPhillips Street becomes McPhillips Road and continues along PR 230 to PTH 9 (Selkirk Bypass).
