Manggarai Timur Regency
East Manggarai Regency ( id, Kabupaten Manggarai Timur) is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia. Established on 17 July 2007 (out of the eastern six districts of the Manggarai Regency), the regency has its seat (capital) in the town of Borong. The population at the 2010 Census was 252,754, and at the 2020 Census was 275,603; the official estimate as at mid 2021 was 277,910. Administrative Districts The East Manggarai Regency as at 2010 was divided into six districts (''kecamatan''), but since 2010 three additional districts (Elar Selatan, Poco Ranaka Timur and Rana Mese) have been created by splitting of existing districts. The districts are tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census and the 2020 Census. A regency ( id, kabupaten), sometimes incorrectly referred to as a district, is an administrative division of Indonesia, directly under a province and on the same level with city (''kota''). Regencies is divided into districts (''Kecamatan'', ''Distrik'' in Papua region, or ''Kapanewon'' in the Special Region of Yogyakarta). The English name "regency" comes from the Dutch colonial period, when regencies were ruled by ''bupati'' (or regents) and were known as ''regentschap'' in Dutch (''kabupaten'' in Javanese and subsequently Indonesian). Telephone Numbers In Indonesia
Telephone numbers in Indonesia have different systems for land lines and mobile phones: land lines use area codes, while mobile phones do not. For land line area codes, the digit "0" is added in front when dialing domestic long distance from within Indonesia, but is always omitted when calling from abroad. Instead, callers would use the Indonesian country code +62, followed by the area code, without the "0". Domestic phone numbers in large cities have 8 digits, and in other areas 7 digits. West Manggarai Regency
West Manggarai Regency ( id, Kabupaten Manggarai Barat) is one of the eight Regency (Indonesia), regencies which comprise the List of islands of Indonesia, island of Flores, located in the provinces of Indonesia, province of East Nusa Tenggara (''Nusa Tenggara Timur'') in Indonesia. The Regency was created on 25 February 2003 by separation off the western districts of Manggarai Regency. It covers a land area of 3,141.47 km2, and had a population of 221,703 at the 2010 census, rising to 251,689 at the 2015 Intermediate census and to 256,317 at the 2020 census. Komodo Dragon
The Komodo dragon (''Varanus komodoensis''), also known as the Komodo monitor, is a member of the monitor lizard family Varanidae that is endemic to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang. It is the largest extant species of lizard, growing to a maximum length of , and weighing up to . As a result of their size, Komodo dragons are apex predators, and dominate the ecosystems in which they live. Komodo dragons hunt and ambush prey including invertebrates, birds, and mammals. ''Victoria amazonica'' is a species of flowering plant, the second largest of the water lily family Nymphaeaceae. It is the national flower of Guyana. Its native regions are Guyana and tropical South America. Manggarai Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, situated on the island of Flores. Established in 1958 the regency was reduced in size and population by the separation of Manggarai Barat regency in 2003 and of Manggarai Timur regency in 2007.
