D. Vedavyas Kamath is an Indian politician belonging to Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). He was elected to the 15th Karnataka Assembly from Mangaluru City South constituency in Dakshina Kannada. Early life Kamath was born on December 7, 1977, in Kundapura to D. Vaman Kamath and Tara V. Kamath. He has four siblings. He completed his primary and high school education in Canara School. He completed his BCom from Canara College, Mangalore. Kamath joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in his childhood as a volunteer. The Election Commission of India (ECI) is a constitutional body. It was established by the Constitution of India to conduct and regulate elections in the country. 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election
The 2018 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election was held on 12 May 2018 in 222 constituencies to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. The election was postponed in Jayanagar and Rajarajeshwari Nagar, following the death of the MLA B. N. Vijaya Kumar and a voter fraud scandal respectively till 28 May. The election saw a voter turnout of 72.13 per cent, the highest in Karnataka since 1952 assembly polls. The counting of votes took place on 15 May 2018. John Richard Lobo, popularly known as J. R. Lobo, is an Indian politician with the Indian National Congress and former MLA of Mangalore South constituency in Karnataka, India. 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Election
The 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election was held on 5 May 2013 to elect members from 223 constituencies in the Indian state of Karnataka. Five major political parties contested the election: Indian National Congress (INC), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)), B. S. Yeddyurappa's Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) and B. Sriramulu's Badavara Shramikara Raitara Congress (BSRCP). Though Karnataka has 224 assembly constituencies, elections were held only for 223 seats. The 2008 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election took place in three phases on 10, 16 and 22 May 2008 in all the 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka, India. The 1999 Karnataka Legislative Assembly election took place in October 1999 in 224 constituencies in Karnataka, India. Blasius D'Souza
Blasius M. D'Souza (22 February 1938 – 26 January 2008) was an Indian politician from Mangalore. A member of the Indian National Congress from Mangalore, he was the first Roman Catholic minister in the Karnataka state government. Biography Blasius D'Souza was the son of AR D'Souza, a prominent businessman in Mangalore. He studied at St. Aloysius College, Mangalore, from where he graduated with a B.Com. degree in 1959. At St. Aloysius, he was president of the College Students' Union and also a member of the hockey team. He earned his L.L.B. from Siddhartha Law College, Mumbai, in 1961. He had five children, Anoop, Rohit, Sonia, Reema & Rovena. He hailed from the Mangalorean Catholic community.
