Katipalla is a small town, five km from Surathkal in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state, India. The language most spoken in this area is Tulu. New Mangalore Port is a small water af, all-weather port at Panambur, Mangalore in Karnataka state in India, which is the deepest inner harbour on the west coast. It is the only major port of Karnataka and the seventh largest port in India. It is operated by New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA). Naming The name "New Mangalore Port" distinguishes it from an old harbour or port in Mangalore city which is called "Mangalore bunder" or "Old bunder". Konaje is a locality in Mangalore generally known as the educational hub. Konaje is governed by Dakshina Kannada zilla Panchayath. Mangaladevi Temple
The Mangaladevi Temple is a Hindu temple at Bolara in the city of Mangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is situated about three kilometres southwest of the city centre. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Shakti in the form of Mangaladevi, the presiding deity from whom the city derives its name. The temple is of significant antiquity and is believed to have been built during the 9th century by Kundavarman, the most noted king of the Alupa dynasty, under the patronage of Matsyendranath. As per another legend, the temple is believed to have been built by Parashurama, one of the ten avatars of Hindu god Vishnu and later expanded by Kundavarman. Ullal or ''Uḷḷāla'' is a City Municipality at Mangalore, educational, commercial & industrial hub in Dakshina Kannada district. It is located 10 km from the Mangalore City centre.
