Manfred Uhlig
Manfred Uhlig (2 September 1927 - 24 July 2019) was a German actor, cabaret artist, entertainer and also television presenter, television and radio presenter. Life Born 1927 in Leipzig, Uhlig studied drama at the end of the 1940s and after finishing accepted acting jobs at theatres and cabarets in Naumburg, Wittenberg and Schwerin. Since 1956 he was member of the Leipziger Pfeffermühle cabaret ensemble, which was founded two years before. On 30 June 1962 he left, together with Helga Hahnemann, and the two of them switched their focus to Deutscher Fernsehfunk, television and radio work. In 1965 Uhlig teamed up with Günter Hansel, presenting over the next 24 years 289 episodes of the programme ''Alte Liebe rostet nicht (radio programme), Alte Liebe rostet nicht'' at Radio DDR 1, which with that was among the most long-lived German radio broadcasts. Alte Liebe Rostet Nicht (radio Programme)
Alte is a village and civil parish in the municipality of Loulé, in the Algarve region in the south of Portugal. The population in 2011 was 1,997, in an area of 94.33 km². Situated away from the coast, Alte is known as one of the most typical and unspoilt villages in the region of the Algarve. The village contains Algarve style whitewashed houses, traditional chimneys, and cobbled alleys. The Portuguese poet Cândido Guerreiro was born in Alte, in 1871. ''Hands Up or I'll Shoot'' () is an East German crime comedy film directed by Hans-Joachim Kasprzik, who wrote the script along with Rudi Strahl. Rolf Herricht starred as officer Holms. The picture was filmed in 1965, but in 1966 censors refused to allow it to be screened, and therefore post-production ceased. ''Hands Up or I'll Shoot'' was only completed and distributed in 2009, making it the last East German film to be released. Plot Lieutenant Holms, a People's Police detective, has always dreamed of solving complicated crimes. However, the German Democratic Republic has one of the world's lowest crime rates, and the sleepy town of Wolkenheim, in which he is stationed, is considered tranquil even by the national standards. ''Neues Deutschland'' (''nd''; en, New Germany, sometimes stylized in lowercase letters) is a left-wing German daily newspaper, headquartered in Berlin. The Art Prize of the German Democratic Republic (German: ''Kunstpreis der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik'') was an East German state award bestowed on individuals for contributions in various fields of art. History The Art Prize was annually awarded in recognition of "outstanding creative and interpretive achievements" in visual arts, applied arts, cinema, television, radio and entertainment. It could be conferred to individual recipients or in collective, to groups of no more than six people. The recipients were awarded a silver-coated metal medal, 20 millimeter in diameter, with the inscription ''Kunstpreis''. Beside it, a single grantee would also be entitled to a sum of 6,000 East German Marks, while a collective would get a sum as high as 20,000. ''Ein Kessel Buntes'' ("A Kettle of Colour") was a television variety show in the former East Germany. It broadcast from 1972 to 1992.
