Antonio Manetti
Antonio di Tuccio Manetti (6 July 1423 – May 26, 1497) was an Italian mathematician and architect from Florence. He is particularly noted for his investigations into the site, shape and size of Dante's ''Inferno''. Although Manetti never himself published his research regarding the topic, the earliest Renaissance Florentine editors of the poem, Cristoforo Landino and Girolamo Benivieni, reported the results of his researches in their respective editions of the ''Divine Comedy''. Manetti is also famous for his short story, ''The Fat Woodworker,'' which recounts a cruel practical joke devised by Brunelleschi. Furthermore, his supposed authorship of the biography of Filippo Brunelleschi has been widely discussed and analyzed. Domenico Manetti (1609–1663) was at Italian painter. Manetti was born at Siena in 1609, and was probably a relation of Rutilio Manetti. He painted chiefly for the churches of Siena, but also produced historical subjects of an easel size. Giannozzo Manetti
Giannozzo Manetti (1396 – 1459) was an Italian politician and diplomat from Florence, who was also a humanist scholar of the early Italian Renaissance. Manetti was the son of a wealthy merchant. His public career began in 1428. He participated in municipal government as a member of the advisory council, as an ambassador, and in various gubernatorial positions in the city. Manetti was an eyewitness of the dedication of Santa Maria del Fiore on 25 March 1436, of which he left a record, the ''Oratio de Secularibus et Pontificalibus Pompis in Consecratione Basilicae Florentinae''. Lawrence Francis Manetti (born July 23, 1947) is an American actor best known for his role as Orville Wilbur Richard "Rick" Wright on the CBS television series ''Magnum, P.I.'' which starred Tom Selleck as the title character. He also starred in '' Baa Baa Black Sheep'' as First Lieutenant Robert A. "Bobby" Boyle, a pilot in the VMF-214 squadron headed by Greg "Pappy" Boyington (played by Robert Conrad). Career Manetti studied acting in Chicago with the Ted Liss Players. His first television role was as a young detective in Jack Webb's ''Chase'' (1973–74). Ricardo Mannetti (born 24 April 1975) is a Namibian retired footballer who now works as a coach. He has managed coached the Namibia national team. Rutilio di Lorenzo Manetti (c. 1571 – 22 July 1639) was an Italian painter of late-Mannerism or proto-Baroque, active mainly in Siena. Biography He was influenced and/or taught by the local artists Francesco Vanni and Ventura Salimbeni. He is known to have collaborated with Raffaello Vanni, the son of Francesco. Among his masterpieces are his contributions to the Casino Mediceo, which he worked alongside Matteo Rosselli, Giovanni Lanfranco, and Cesare Dandini. One of his pupils or followers is Stefano Volpi. Saverio Manetti
Francesco Saverio Manetti also spelt Xaviero or Xaverio Manetti (Latinized as Franciscus Xaverius Manetti civis Florentinus) (12 November 1723 – 12 November 1785) was an Italian physician, botanist and ornithologist. Among his works is the treatise on birds, ''Ornithologia methodice digesta'' or ''Storia naturale degli uccelli'' (1776). The plant genus ''Manettia'' was named in his honour by Carl Linnaeus. Manetti was born in Brozzi to Giovanni Bernardo and Maria Teresa Nesiscolt of Prague. His early studies were in Florence and later at Pisa where he studied botany under Pier Antonio Micheli.
