Mandurah Railway Station
Mandurah Station is the terminus of the Mandurah railway line and a bus station on the Transperth network, serving the satellite city of Mandurah, Western Australia. History The bus station opened prior to the railway station, on 17 September 2003, replacing a temporary bus terminus located nearby in the carpark of Rushton Park. The railway station later opened on the same site as the bus station, on 23 December 2007 by Premier of Western Australia, Premier Alan Carpenter alongside the rest of the Mandurah railway line. The car park was also significantly expanded for the opening of the railway station. In 2020, construction started on a $32 million multi-storey car park for Mandurah station as part of Metronet (Western Australia), Metronet. When complete, the car park will add approximately 700 bays, and have three levels. Mandurah
Mandurah () is a coastal city in the Australian state of Western Australia, situated approximately south of the state capital, Perth. It is the state's second most populous city, with a population of 107,641 as of the 2021 Australian census, 2021 census. Mandurah's central business district is located on the Mandurah Estuary, which is an outlet for the Peel Inlet and Harvey Estuary. The city's name is derived from the Noongar language, Noongar word ''mandjar'', meaning "meeting place" or "trading place". Greenfields is a suburb east of Mandurah, located east of Mandurah's central area. It includes several aged care residences and a large recreation oval and centre. The suburb is named after 'Greenfields Estate', the promotional name used by developers for the area in 1980. It has also been known as Goegrup and Riverside Gardens. Bouvard, Western Australia
Bouvard is the second southernmost suburb of Mandurah, Western Australia, and is south of the state capital, Perth. Its local government area is the City of Mandurah. History Bouvard is named after Cape Bouvard some to the west, which was named by Nicolas Baudin, who sighted the cape en route to Rottnest Island from what is now Bunbury in 1802-1803, either after Charles Bouvard (1572-1658), a French chemist, or Alexis Bouvard (1767-1843), an astronomer and director of Paris Observatory. The Park Ridge estate was developed in the 1990s, and other estates have been built or proposed. Bouvard Coastcare, a volunteer group dedicated to maintaining the fragile coastal and dune environment, has won awards and grants for its work. Forrest Highway
Forrest Highway is a highway in Western Australia's Peel and South West regions, extending Perth's Kwinana Freeway from east of Mandurah down to Bunbury. Old Coast Road was the original Mandurah–Bunbury route, dating back to the 1840s. Part of that road, and the Australind Bypass around Australind and Eaton, were subsumed by Forrest Highway. The highway begins at Kwinana Freeway's southern terminus in Ravenswood, continues around the Peel Inlet to Lake Clifton, and heads south to finish at Bunbury's Eelup Roundabout. There are a number of at-grade intersections with minor roads in the shires of Murray, Waroona, and Harvey including Greenlands Road and Old Bunbury Road, both of which connect to South Western Highway near Pinjarra. Lakelands is the northernmost suburb of the city of Mandurah, Western Australia, Mandurah, Western Australia. Introduction The Lakelands Estate is being developed by Peet Limited and is expected to exceed 2500 lots when completed. Black Swan and Paganoni Lakes are a focal points of the estate with recreation areas and walking tracks. Location Mandurah Baptist College is located in Lakelands and was opened in 2005. Two primary schools are located in Lakelands; Lakelands Primary School and Oakwood Primary School which was opened in 2019. The Senior High School, Coastal Lakes College opened in 2018. Warnbro railway station is a commuter railway station in Warnbro, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Mandurah line, which is part of the Transperth commuter rail network, and is located immediately south-east of the interchange of Safety Bay Road and Ennis Avenue. It has two side platforms, linked by a pedestrian overpass accessed by stairs, a lift, and escalators. Services run every 10 minutes during peak, and every 15 minutes between peak.
