Manchester Mental Health And Social Care Trust
Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust was a mental health trust in Manchester, England, between 2002 and 2016. The trust was formed in April 2002 as one of the first mental health and social care NHS organisations in England. It ran wards at North Manchester General Hospital and Wythenshawe Hospital. The Edale Unit at Hathersage Road, Manchester, was closed in 2011 after being in use for about five years. The trust spent £1.7m in the first four months of 2013–14 on beds for 86 patients at other providers. In 2014, quarter of staff at the trust said they would not recommend it to their friends or family, according to the first NHS Friends and Family Test; and more than a third of staff who took part in the survey also said they would not recommend it as a good place to work. NHS Hospital Trust
A hospital trust, also known as an acute trust, is an NHS trust that provides secondary health services within the English National Health Service and, until they were abolished, in NHS Wales. Hospital trusts were commissioned to provide these services by NHS primary care trusts and now by clinical commissioning groups. NHS trusts were established by the National Health Service and Community Care Act 1990 as the first step in setting up an internal market. NHS foundation trusts were regulated by Monitor until 2016, when it was merged with the NHS Trust Development Authority to form NHS Improvement. A mental health trust provides health and social care services for people with mental health disorders in England. There are 54 mental health trusts. They are commissioned and funded by clinical commissioning groups. Wythenshawe Hospital (previously University Hospital of South Manchester) is a large NHS teaching hospital in Wythenshawe, South Manchester, England. It provides general medical services to the local and regional area as well as being a national centre for Pulmonology, respiratory medicine and cardiothoracic surgery. The Friends and Family Test was introduced into the English NHS in 2013. It was a single question survey which asked patients whether they would recommend the NHS service they have received to friends and family who need similar treatment or care. The friends and family question: “We would like you to think about your experience in the ward where you spent the most time during this stay. How likely are you to recommend our ward to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment? Buckley Hall Prison is a Category C male prison in the Buckley district of Rochdale in North West England. It is operated by His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service. History Buckley Hall takes its name from Buckley Hall, a historic house which previously occupied the site. Lifeline Project
Lifeline project was a drug and alcohol abuse charity based in Manchester. It was established in 1971 by Eugenie Cheesmond and Rowdy Yates, and with support from the Bishop of Manchester and the 8th Day Collective. Cheesmond had crossed swords with the Board at Parkside Hospital in Macclesfield about rehabilitation for drug users when she was their Registrar Psychiatrist. Yates, was an ex-addict and had been helped by Cheesmond. Lifeline began to run services across Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, London and the Midlands.
