A mancation is a male-only vacation. The term is believed to have come about in the 2000s, although the concept had existed considerably before then. Male Bonding
In ethology and social science, male bonding or male friendship is the formation of close personal relationships, and patterns of friendship or cooperation between males. In the context of human relationships, male bonding is used to describe friendship between men, or the way in which men befriend each other. The expression is sometimes used synonymously with the word camaraderie. The first widely noticed use of the term was in ''Men in Groups'' (1969; 2004) by anthropologist Lionel Tiger. Male bonding can take place in various locations through shared activities or even just conversing. Jim Beam is an American brand of bourbon whiskey produced in Clermont, Kentucky, by Beam Suntory. It is one of the best-selling brands of bourbon in the world. Since 1795 (interrupted by Prohibition), seven generations of the Beam family have been involved in whiskey production for the company that produces the brand. Knob Creek is an American brand of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey produced by Beam Suntory (a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings of Osaka, Japan) at the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. It is one of the four Jim Beam small batch bourbon brands targeted for the high-end liquor market. Its siblings in the line are Booker's, Baker's, and Basil Hayden's. The primary expression of the brand is aged for 9 years and bottled at 100 proof (higher than the typical 4 years and 80 proof that are the minimums required by U.S. Federal labeling requirements). National Bourbon Heritage Month
National Bourbon Heritage Month is an observance in the United States that calls for celebration of bourbon as America's "Native Spirit" during the month of September. On August 2, 2007, the US Senate declared September 2007 as "National Bourbon Heritage Month." The bill, sponsored by Republican Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky, passed by unanimous consent. The resolution calls for consumers who enjoy bourbon to do so responsibly and in moderation. The bill reinforces the 1964 concurrent resolution of Congress that "recogniz dBourbon whiskey as a distinctive product of the United States." It was a resolution for one year, 2007. It needs to be passed again each year, or in a permanent form to be continually officially observed.
