Manaus Monorail
Manaus Monorail ( pt, Monotrilho de Manaus) is a straddle monorail planned for construction in the Brazilian city of Manaus. In February 2012, the Infrastructure Secretariat of Amazonas signed a contract with a consortium of CR Almedia, Mendes Junior, Serveng and Malaysian rail company Scomi Rail for the construction of the monorail. , construction has yet to begin. History Announced in August 2011, the line would run from Largo da Matriz to Jorge Teixeira, serving nine stations. It is designed to carry up to 35 000 passengers/h per direction. Completion was scheduled for 2014, though it has been delayed. Monorail
A monorail (from "mono", meaning "one", and "rail") is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail or a beam. Colloquially, the term "monorail" is often used to describe any form of elevated rail or people mover. More accurately, the term refers to the style of track.The term "track" is used here for simplicity. Technically the monorail sits on or is suspended from a guideway containing a singular structure. There is an additional generally accepted rule that the support for the car be narrower than the car. Jorge Filipe Avelino Teixeira (born 27 August 1986) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for AVS Futebol SAD as a central defender. He spent most of his career abroad, mainly 170 games in the Belgian Pro League with Standard Liège and Sint-Truiden, while also winning the Swiss Cup with Zürich in 2014. Scomi Rail, formerly MTrans and Monorail Malaysia, was a Malaysian rail system manufacturer specializing in monorails. A subsidiary of Scomi Group, the company was one of the world's three leading providers of monorail systems, and one of only four globally recognized integrated monorail system providers, meaning that apart from manufacturing rolling stock, it also provided equipment like communication systems, electro-mechanical systems and services such as system integration and project management.
