Manasi Salvi
''Manasi'' is a 1981 romantic comedy Oriya film directed by Malay Mitra. Plot Akash ( Sriram Panda) is the son of industrialist Surendra Das and looks after his father's business. He and Prashant (Swarup Naik), who is an engineer by profession are close friends. One day Akash's family visit Seema's (Saudamini Misra) family at a function held by Seema's father. Seema mistaken Akash as a driver and Prashant as Akash. Seema's friend Surekha falls in love with Prashant alias Akash. Evantually Seema falls in love with Akash alias the driver. Situation becomes tense, when Akash's family want the marriage of Akash with Seema. At last the confusion is resolved and Seema finds out the identity of the driver and pseudo Akash is Prashant. Sriram Panda
Sriram Panda ( or, ଶ୍ରୀରାମ ପଣ୍ଡା, born c. 1954) is an Indian Odia actor, director and a screenplay writer hailing from the Nabarangpur district, Odisha, India. Career Sriram Panda started his film career in Dhir Biswal's '' Dharitri'' directed by Nitai Palit in 1972, which was a success. In 1975 he starred in the lead role of Jajabara directed by Trimurti which was a huge hit & is still regarded as one of the classic films to be ever made in Odia film industry. A coloured version of Jajabara was later released which garnered high popularity among the masses. In 1976 he starred in 6 films 4 of which were commercially successful. He emerged as Superstar of Odisha in the 1980s and 1990s. Prafulla Kar (16 February 1939 – 17 April 2022) was an Odia musician, singer, lyricist, writer and columnist. He received Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award by the Government of India in 2015 for his contribution in the field of arts. Early life and career Born in 1939 into musician family in Puri, Orissa Province. His father is Baidyanath Kar and mother is Susila Kar. His uncle Khetra Mohan Kar was a tabla player. ''Saudamini'' ( ta, சௌதாமினி) is a 1951 Indian, Tamil language film directed by K. B. Nagabhushanam. The film featured M. K. Radha, P. Kannamba and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Plot A Maharshi (sage) blesses King Vikramasenan and Queen Saudamini to beget a child. The queen becomes pregnant. But the king is lured by the court dancer and he neglects the queen. The minister advises the queen to drive away the court dancer from the country. But the court dancer sows seeds of doubt in the king's mind that the queen is having an affair with the minister. So, the king orders the minister to be executed and sends the queen to the forest. The queen delivers a son, Udhayasenan, in the forest and he is growing up.
