Manasara (film)
''Manasara'' (English : Whole-heartedly) is Telugu language romance film set against the backdrop of Kalaripayattu, a martial art form that has origins in Kerala. The film is produced by Prakash Babu Kadiyala on directed by Ravi Babu and stars debutants Vikram and Sri Divya. The movie is loosely based on ''The Karate Kid''. The movie was one of the Telugu blockbusters of 2010. Plot Rajapalayam in Kerala is a village where time has stood still. A maternal, ritualistic society where honour held its head and sword high. The village folk lived and breathed Kalaripayittu that was their God, life and justice and were totally cut off from the modern world. Ravi Babu
Ravi Babu is an Indian actor, director, writer and producer in the Telugu film industry. He has written and directed 15 films and starred in over 75 films. Career His work earned an invitation to participate in a course at the Sony Institute in San Jose, California. After the course, Babu did a short stint at TV Asia as ENG producer and also doubled up as cameraman and editor. In 1999, he started his own production house, Flying Frogs, initially to produce television commercials, but would later become a feature film production house. Advertising career Babu wrote and directed an advertising campaign with actress Tamannaah for Celkon phones. He also created an advertising campaign for N. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Ranjith K. Govind (born 21 February 1977), also known as K.G. Ranjith, is an Indian playback singer, working in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries and has sung more than 2500 songs. Kalaripayattu (; also known simply as Kalari) is an Indian martial art that originated in modern-day Kerala, a state on the southwestern coast of India. Kalaripayattu is known for its long-standing history within Indian martial arts, and is one of the oldest surviving martial arts in India. Kalaripayattu is mentioned in the Vadakkan Pattukal, a collection of ballads written about the Chekavar of the Malabar region of Kerala.
