Manabu Ishibashi
is a Japanese racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . Career He joined starting in the 2013 season while he was still a student at the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya. He won the Under-23 Japanese National Time Trial Championships in 2014. He stayed on with as it became a Professional Continental team starting in the 2015 season. Ishibashi became the sixth Japanese cyclist to participate in the Giro d'Italia when he rode in the 2015 edition. He withdrew from the race on the 9th stage. He transferred to for the 2017 season. The Tour of Japan is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Japan since 1996 as part of the UCI Asia Tour. The is an annual professional road bicycle racing Classic cycle races, classic one-day race held in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. It was first started in 1989 as an amateur race, but became professional in 1999. It became part of the UCI Asia Tour in 2005. Until 2007, it was a one-day race, billing itself as the longest single-day course in Japan, but was transformed into a two-day stage race in 2008, its Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI category changing from 1.2 to 2.2. In 2008, the first day was a criterium, but from 2009, it was changed to a time trial run on the streets of Nago. The 2010 edition extended the second stage to 210 kilometers. The 2015 Giro d'Italia () was a three-week Grand Tour cycling stage race that took place in May 2015.
