"Man Aamadeh Am" () is a Persian language, Persian song, sung by Iranian singer Googoosh for the album Pol in 1975. The song was written by Googoosh’s Afghan friend Jalil Zaland and gifted to Googoosh after she visited Afghanistan. 2015 version In 2015, Pakistani singers Atif Aslam and Gul Panra performed the song during Coke Studio (Pakistani season 8), ''Coke Studio'' season 8, episode 3. It was produced by Strings (band), Strings. The music video of the song features Atif Aslam and Gul Panra. It received 37,000 shares on Social media within five hours of its release. The video has received over 114 million views on YouTube as of November 2022. Googoosh
Faegheh Atashin ( fa, فائقه آتشین; born 5 May 1950), known professionally as Googoosh ( fa, گوگوش, ), is an Iranian singer and former actress. One of the most popular and prolific entertainers in Iran, her career has spanned over six decades. Googoosh has enjoyed significant popularity since the beginning of her career, ultimately becoming a cultural icon inside Iran and abroad. She is mainly known for her contributions to Iranian pop music, but she also starred in a variety of Persian movies from the 1950s to the 1970s. She achieved the pinnacle of her fame and success towards the end of the 1970s. In the 1970s, Googoosh was widely emulated by Iranian women, as they copied her clothing (miniskirts) and her short haircut (known as the "Googooshi"). Strings (band)
Strings () was a Pakistani pop/rock band composed of two members, plus four live band members from Karachi, Pakistan. The band was initially formed by four college students—Bilal Maqsood (vocals and guitars), Faisal Kapadia (vocals), Rafiq Wazir Ali (synthesizer) and Kareem Bashir Bhoy (bass guitar)—in 1988. In 1992 the quartet disbanded, only to make a comeback with Maqsood and Kapadia in 2000. While the initial band rode the new wave of Pakistani pop music, the later lineup ushered a revival in the Music of Pakistan, Pakistani music industry. In 1990 the band signed with EMI Records and released their debut album, ''Strings (Strings album), Strings''. Coke Studio (Pakistani Season 8)
The eighth season of the Pakistani music television series ''Coke Studio'' premiered on 16 August 2015 and aired its finale on 4 October 2015. It aired a weekly episode every Sunday on various channels across Pakistan. The season was revived under the tagline of ''The Sound of Nation''. The debut producers of season 7, Strings duo and series regular producer Coca-Cola, continued their journey as producers in this season. Earlier, rumours were made that Rohail Hyatt would be back as a producer this season but he denied rumors saying "Just for the record, I'm not producing the next season of Coke Studio Pakistan (2015)....... Pakistani popular music or shortly Pakistani pop music refers to popular music forms in Pakistan. Pakistani pop is a mixture of traditional Pakistani classical music and western influences of jazz, rock and roll, hip hop and disco sung in various languages of Pakistan, including Urdu. The popularity of music is based on the individual sales of a single, viewership of its music video or the singer's album chart positions.
