Mamadou Camara (footballer, Born 1988)
Mamadou Camara (born 6 April 1988) is a French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for ES La Rochelle. Career Camara started his career with Chamois Niortais, and was brought into the Niort team at the start of the 2008–09 season. He went on to play over 30 times in his first campaign, including one appearance in the Coupe de la Ligue, when Niort lost 2–1 to Créteil. On 26 July 2009, it was announced that despite Niort's relegation from the Championnat National, Camara had signed a contract to keep him at the club until the summer of 2010. On 23 January 2010, he scored his first league goal in the 1–1 draw with Albi at the Stade René Gaillard. The 2016–17 Championnat National season was the 19th season since its establishment. The fixtures were announced on 15 July 2016. Teams There are 18 clubs in the league, with four promoted teams from Championnat de France Amateur replacing the four teams that were relegated from National following the 2015–16 season. All clubs that secured National status for the season were subject to approval by the DNCG before becoming eligible to participate. The 2015–16 Championnat de France Amateur is the 18th season of the fourth tier in the French football league system. Teams There were twelve teams promoted from Championnat de France amateur 2, while ten teams were relegated from the 2014–15 Championnat de France amateur. Two teams came from the 2014–15 Ligue 2 and 2014–15 Championnat National, which are AC Arles-Avignon and US Colomiers Football respectively. The original plan was to have CA Bastia, FC Istres and SAS Épinal also relegated from the Championnat National, but due to DNCG and/or FFF rulings, the following clubs were relegated to lower divisions: AC Arles-Avignon (demoted from Ligue 2), Vendée Poiré-sur-Vie Football (resigned to join CFA 2) and FC Istres (demoted to 6th level). The league schedule was announced on 31 March 2011 and the fixtures were determined on 10 June. The season began on 29 July and ended on 18 May 2012. The winter break was in effect from 21 December to 14 January. Bastia clinched the second division title on 1 May 2012 with three matches to spare after defeating Metz 3–0 at the Stade Armand Cesari.
