Malta Football Association
The Malta Football Association (MFA; mt, Assoċjazzjoni tal-Futbol ta' Malta) is the governing body of football in Malta. The Association organises the Maltese Football League and several other competitions, including a knockout competition for the top teams, called the FA Trophy. The Malta national football team as well as several other representative teams in the younger categories compete regularly in international competitions organised by UEFA and FIFA. These include the European Championships and the World Cup. Malta also takes part in women's international competitions and competitions of Futsal The MFA manages the National stadium and the Centenary Stadium nearby. Futsal In Malta
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football. The surface, ball and rules favour ball control and passing in small spaces. The game emphasizes control, improvisation, creativity and technique. Malta Youth Football Association
The Malta Youth Football Association (commonly referred to as the 'Youth FA') oversees youth football in the country of Malta. It started with the founding of the Educational Sports Centre in Marsa in 1972. That was the first nursery in Malta. Hundreds of children attended once or twice a week to train in football, basketball, athletics and gymnastics. Slowly, the early eighties gave birth to the football nursery practically in every town in Malta. The Youth F.A. was officially established in 1982 comprising first 8 nurseries and clubs progressing rapidly to the present day. Gozo Island

The Gozo Football Association (GFA) is the body that co-ordinates and organises football on the island of Gozo, Malta. Formed in 1936, it organises the Gozo Football League, which is split into two divisions, the First Division and the Second Division. It also organises the G.F.A. Cup, the Independence Cup, the Freedom Day Cup, the BOV Super Cup, the First Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Challenge Cup, the Under-21s League, Under-18 League, and the Under-15s. It also organises the Gozo national football team. The Italian football league system, also known as the Italian football pyramid, refers to the hierarchically interconnected league system for association football in Italy. It consists of nine national and regional tournaments, the first three being professional, while the remaining six are amateur, set up by the Italian Football Federation.
