Malsha Tharupathi (born 7 November 2004) is a Sri Lankan cricketer. Biography He initially studied at Madampe Madya Maha Vidyalaya. He then switched to Richmond College, Galle where he furthered his cricketing ambitions. He took nine wickets in his first cricket match for Richmond College during an Under-19 schools cricket division match against the Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa. Career In January 2022, he was named in Sri Lanka's squad for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies. He made his T20 debut playing for Saracens Sports Club against Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club on 22 May 2022 at the Major Clubs T20 Tournament. He made his List A debut playing for Saracens Sports Club against Singhalese Sports Club on 27 June 2022 at the Major Clubs Limited Over Tournament. Madampe
Madampe is a town situated in the Puttalam District, of North Western Province, Sri Lanka. Madampe is a town with historical importance which was ruled by king Thaniwallbha according to the history. There are two areas: Old town and New town which is also known as Silva town. Old town is located on Colombo - Negombo - Chilaw main road. The new town is located on Kuliyapitiya road. The old town area is mainly occupied by Muslim community and consists of many shops. Town areas are occupied by commercial users: several super markets, shops, hardware stores, restaurants and other public institutions. Middle income class residential users are mostly occupied. Singhalese Sports Club
The Singhalese Sports Club (SSC) is a first-class cricket club in Sri Lanka. Singhalese is the most successful club in Sri Lankan domestic cricket, having won the Premier Trophy a record 32 times to 2017. Although the name is correctly spelt with the old spelling "Singhalese", the name is sometimes misspelt with the modern spelling "Sinhalese". Three former Prime Ministers of Sri Lanka have been presidents of the club. History In 1899, a combined school cricket team, composed mainly of cricketers from Royal College, S. Thomas' College and Wesley College beat Colts Cricket Club by a one run. 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup
2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup was the tenth edition of the ACC Under-19 Cup, a limited overs cricket tournament featuring eight under-19 teams. It was scheduled to played between 8 and 17 December 2023. The five full members of the Asian Cricket Council are taking part in the tournament: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They joined by the top three ranked teams Nepal, United Arab Emirates and Japan. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to take place in Pakistan but it was shifted to United Arab Emirates later.
