Aino Malmberg
Aino Emma Wilhelmina Malmberg Perenius (February 24, 1865 – February 3, 1933) was a Finnish writer and politician. Malmberg was born in Hollola to Pastor John Perenius and Edla Olivia Björkstén. She took her matriculation examination in 1884 and graduated from the University of Helsinki in 1886. Malmberg then worked as an English teacher at various schools, and from 1898 to 1908 at the Finnish Business Institute. Malmberg had to leave Finland in 1910 to England because of her participation in the fight against the Russian government. She represented the Independent Labour Party at the eighth congress of the Second International at Copenhagen in 1910. She returned to Finland upon the country's independence in 1917. Malmberg was married from 1887 to 1910 to lecturer Emil Othniel Malmberg. They had three sons, Lauri Malmberg, Erik Malmberg and Olavi Malmberg. Bertil Frans Harald Malmberg (13 August 1889 - 11 February 1958) was a Swedish writer, poet, and actor. He was born in Härnösand to Teodor Malmberg and Hanna Roman. Malmberg is the 1956 winner of the Dobloug Prize, a literature prize awarded for Swedish and Norwegian fiction. He has published five books of poetry and has translated a volume of Schiller. From 1917 to 1928, he lived in Germany. In 1936, he published one of the first accounts in Swedish of a concentration camp. He died in Stockholm. Previously a member of the duo Sagor & Swing ("Fairytales & Swing"), in 2005 he released his first solo album, '' Den gåtfulla människan'' ("The Enigmatic Human"). The album consists only of sounds played on the Hammond organ. The album is centered on a musical exploration of the human psyche and the different tracks have names such as "The Subconscious" and "The Dual-personalities". Harry William Malmberg (July 31, 1925 – October 29, 1976) was an American second baseman and coach in Major League Baseball, and a longtime player and manager in minor league baseball. Born in Fairfield, Alabama, and raised in Pittsburg, California, Malmberg batted and threw right-handed, stood (185 cm) tall and weighed 170 pounds (77 kg) during his active career. Malmberg spent only three seasons at the Major League level during a 29-year career in professional baseball. Kaarlo Lauri Torvald Malmberg (May 8, 1888 in Helsinki – March 14, 1948 in Helsinki) was a Finnish lieutenant general and son of Emil and Aino Malmberg. He was the Chief of Defence of the Finnish Defence Forces in 1925. General Malmberg served as the Commander-in-Chief of the Finnish Civil Guards (a voluntary paramilitary defence organization) from 1921 to 1944, when the organization was abolished as an "anti-Soviet" organization. He also served as the Minister of Defence from 1924 to 1925. At the time there was a power struggle between German-trained and Russian-trained officers in the Defence Forces.
