Malletts Creek
Malletts Creek is a stream in Washtenaw County, Michigan. A tributary to the Huron River, much of Malletts Creek's watershed lies within urban or suburban areas. Approximately 40% of the land within the creek's watershed is topped with impermeable surfaces. As a result, the stream exists in an extremely impaired state, and testing sites on the stream monitored through the "Adopt-A-Stream" program continuously indicate the streams poor quality. Watershed Malletts Creek is located primarily in the city of Ann Arbor, though its 11 square-mile watershed also includes northern Pittsfield Township, and very small portions of the townships of Ann Arbor, Superior, Lodi and Scio. Malletts Creek flows into South Pond, a side channel of the Huron River. Nelson Meade County Farm Park is a 141-acre public park in eastern Ann Arbor, Michigan owned by Washtenaw County, Michigan, Washtenaw County and operated by the county's Parks and Recreation Commission. Consisting of a mix of woodlands, fields, and gardens, the park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna and is a popular local destination for gardening, hiking, jogging, and biking. Lodi Township, Michigan
Lodi Township is a civil township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 6,058 at the 2010 census. Communities *Lodi is a historic settlement located within the township. Hugh Crestie made the first land purchase in the area in 1824 in the Michigan Territory. Crestie never settled in the area, while Allen Williams built the first house in 1825. A post office opened on August 29, 1827 and later became the name of the township, which was established in 1834. The community was also known as Lodi Plains and was named after Lodi in the Finger Lakes region of New York, from which many early settlers originated. The post office closed on February 3, 1856. Superior Charter Township is a charter township of Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 13,058 at the 2010 census. Communities * Dixboro is an unincorporated community located within the township at . Dixboro was settled as early as 1825 by John Dix and was platted in 1826 by A. B. Rowe. The name was first recorded in 1828 at a time when the area was still administratively part of Wayne County until Washtenaw County was created in 1829. A post office opened under the name Dixborough, which was named after John Dix, on December 6, 1825. The post office closed on September 25, 1850. The post office was then restored on two separate occasions from July 11, 1861 until January 20, 1863 and again from May 26, 1890 until it ultimately closed on June 15, 1905.
