Malleswara Temple, Aghalaya
Malleshwara (also referred as Malleshwaram) is a northwest neighborhood and one of the zones of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike in Bengaluru, India. It was planned in 1889 after the great plague of 1898, developed as a suburb in 1892 and handed over to the city municipality in 1895. As per 1878 Survey of India map, the area came under the village of Ranganatha Palya and later was named after the Kadu Malleshwara Temple. The neighbourhood houses many offices one them being World Trade Center Bengaluru. It also has shopping malls Mantri Square and Orion Mall (at the two ends of the locality). Krishnaswamy Kasturirangan (born 24 October 1940) is an Indian space scientist who headed the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) from 1994 to 2003. He is presently Chancellor of Central University of Rajasthan and NIIT University. He is the former chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University and the chairman of Karnataka Knowledge Commission. He is a former member of the Rajya Sabha (2003–09) and a former member of the now defunct Planning Commission of India. Sadashivanagara (Kannada: ಸದಾಶಿವನಗರ) is an affluent residential neighbourhood in Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. The neighbourhood houses plush homes and mansions of several famous celebrities, businessmen and politicians. History Sadashivanagar was created out of the former royal gardens, and is home to one of the original four towers built in 1597 by Kempe Gowda I, the founder of the city. Yeshwanthpur, officially Yeshwanthpura is a locality in the north western part of Bangalore in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located to the north of Malleshwara and west of Hebbala.
