Adnan Al-Malki
Adnan al-Malki ( ar, عدنان المالكي‎) (1918 – 22 April 1955) was a Syrian Army officer and political figure in the mid-20th century. He served as the deputy-chief of staff of the army and was one of the most powerful figures in the army and in national politics until his assassination, which was blamed on a Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) militant in 1955. At the time of his assassination he held the rank of Colonel in the Syrian Army. Malki's assassination led to a crackdown on the SSNP in Syria. Family History and Childhood Adnan al-Malki was born in 1918 to a wealthy and prestigious Damascene family. Wondermark
''Wondermark'' is a webcomic created by David Malki which was syndicated to ''Flak Magazine'' and appeared in ''The Onion'' print edition from 2006 to 2008. It features 19th-century illustrations that have been recontextualized to create humorous juxtapositions. It takes the horizontal four-panel shape of a newspaper strip, although the number of panels varies from one to six or more. It is updated intermittently, with the frequency of updates declining from multiple strips a month for many years, to fewer than one a month since mid-2021. A typical Wondermark episode consists of one or more Victorian-era drawings of people and/or objects, repeated for several panels, with dialogue added to create a joke. In some cases, the images vary from panel to panel, creating a narrative. Occasionally, the joke in the last panel takes the form of a purely visual gag. Ezra Malki was rabbi of Rhodes in the seventeenth century; he was brother-in-law of Hezekiah de Silva, the author of "Peri Ḥadash." Malki was the author of "Malki ba-Ḳodesh" (Salonica, 1749). George Emmanuel Malki (born April 21, 1992) is an American soccer player. Career Early career Born in Chicago, Illinois, Malki started playing soccer in Arizona where he played for the Pinnacle Pioneers at Pinnacle High School. In 2009, Malki won the Gatorade Player of the Year award for the state of Arizona in his final year of High School. The Morongo Band of Mission Indians is a federally recognized tribe in California, United States. The main tribal groups are Cahuilla and Serrano. Tribal members also include Cupeño, Luiseño, and Chemehuevi Indians. Although many tribes in California are known as Mission Indians, some, such as those at Morongo, were never a part of the Spanish Missions in California. The Malki Foundation () is an Israeli charity organization based in Jerusalem that supports families of children with disabilities.
